:wow :wtf

I heard this awful alarm like sound and wondered who the heck was causing the rucus.
I went outside and it is my car. It sounded as if someone was in it holding down the horn- it went on and on and would not stop.
I don't have an alarm on my car so I can't figure out what caused it.

I turned on my car and turned it off and then hit the horn button once and it stopped.

So weird!!!

Maybe someone is warning you to go to get your car checked out. Have you changed your oil and checked your battery water level and tires? It might be your car's emotional outcry for attention. :lol

that reminds me of Little Miss Sunshine.. just saw it the other day. the malfunctioning horn was hilarious :lol
my car was acting funny today too. the steering wheel was very stiff and hard to turn. kind of scary driving home from work with it like that. I checked the power steering fluid and it seemd frothy, and looked about half way full. ?

I am thinking maybe something shifted and activated the horn. I do need to get a busted under the hood part replaced.
Hopefully my schedule will allow me to get that done this week.

Don't ask me what part. I took the car when I was sick on my one free morning during the Christmas rush. I have no idea the specifics of what the mechanic told me.

:lol What's more amazing is that you seemed to know exactly what to do to stop the noise. It only took you one try!

:lol God took pity on me.

What was funny was how after I stopped the noise I looked under the hood - as if I could actually tell what was amiss. :lol

Veronica, check and see if the blinker fluid is low, the horn might be the indicator that it needs to be filled.

I've got a dodgy contact somewhere in my car's alarm circuits, so when the temp gets really cold, the contact opens and set off the alarm, but only between 1 and 4 AM.
