I'd say wait til its on DVD. Was more of a made-for-tv movie to me. The wife loved it though.

I was mad at the ending. I thought they would show how life was after...that was a bit disappointing to me.

Oh man, I've been dying to see this movie! It looked awesome, I saw the interview with Will Smith, his son, and the real man the story is based after on Oprah.

No one else wants to see this movie with me around here...:( I guess I'll have to wait for it on DVD also. How was Will Smith's performance?

Will Smith did well- he made you believe he was the man he was portraying.
I do agree that it is more of a Hallmark movie than a theater one.

I concur. Great movie. Hollywood has finally discovered how to do inspirational movies without being cheesy.

The only bad thing about the movie was Thandie Newton. I wonder if two actors in the same movie have ever been nominated for an Oscar and a Razzie.

:lol What really hit home for you? Was it the part about him being a black man struggling in America? Or was it the similarity between your time living on the streets in poverty?
