I don't know what it is, but these things always choke me up. Regardless of how much we may disagree with presidents and their policies, we always send them off well.

I did for a bit when the fmr. Rep from Michigan had fainted, and the service had to stop for about 5 mins.

That was just horrible and sad.

I guess that nobody really watched it. Funny... more people were glued to the set waiting for Saddam's execution, but not so much for the funeral of a president.

I like to watch the honor guard stuff. Those guys are so good and do such a beautiful job.

Kennedy's upset me, the lone horse without a rider, and all that, but that was a tragedy.

Ford lived was past his time and died naturally. What's to mourn?

The pageantry is always very impressive.

I watched that, too. :wakeup

I will admit, I paid much more attention to Reagan's funeral, but it broke my heart to see Betty Ford there.

I saw a little of the preliminary footage this morning before I left for work. Rest in peace President Ford and condolences to his family.

I would have loved to watch it as it was a piece of history in the making, but as usual, I had to work.

Fuck this thing. They interrupted the Beaver game for this bullshit.
