I predict a long, fruitful life for the Spurs.

:wtf :wtfChump is not a Hawks fan.

Do you really think a Hawks fan would even have 19K posts on his own board, not to mention a Spurs board?

Chump has more posts than the combined Hawks home game attendance last season.

Anyone who's still a Hawks fan has a certain level of tenacity.

this post is underrated

anyway, i say 2-3 years...after that, it depends on who replaces duncan but no one they get will be as good as duncan although it's the same for any franchise player

I used to think Tim Duncan could play until he's 40. But now he's 30 and he already plays like he's 40.

So I guess we'll see.

sad but true!

I also could see Duncan retiring at 36 or so

I see Duncan announcing retirement in 2009 although he won't be as effective as he used to be, with Parker being the new go-to guy.

Honestly I think we have 2 more years to be a contender in the top 5. This year luckily we're 1-2 to contend.

Spurs...will decompose themselves...when the batteries run out. Countdown begins when TP starts dying.

Huh?

Anyways, I think SA has anywhere between 1-5 years depending on how things turn out this year and this coming offseason.

(1)Using the addition of new blood we have already had or drafted, we may have 4 more years.

(2)If pop keeps younger players away from the rotation, then the combined big 3 plus Bowen may have 1 or 2 years left.

If we don't win the championship this year, there must be drastic changes made. Unfortunately that will be hard.

If we don't win, it will likely be at the hands of Dallas, which will mean they've beaten us two years in a row. We tend to discount their beating us last year, because it was so close, but if we can't do it this year, we'll never beat them again as our roster is constituted.

*dusts off Nostradamus book*

It says here:

"In century seventy, enemies prevail /
The winds turn against the three heroes of the west,
King manchild and tall Z, will drive silver and black /
The orb of gold will set sail to river midwest."

IMO, around the year 7000 (just before the sun implodes), LeBron and the Cavs will win it all, thus dethroning our Spurs. Apparently as well, the entire east coast will be flooded by icebergs and the Ohio River may join the San Antonio River to form one giant national divide...

Due to the cataclysmic events predicted here, the only logical next step is nuclear winter <o.0>
