i don't know if this is theatre or dvd sales... but i'd think if it was theatre it would have gotten more money based on the fact that a lot of couples go to crappy movies on purpose so they can be alone and have sex in the theatre.

People in Highland Park don't need a movie theater to have sex in. They can just go to the lake house.

Voyage of the Rock Aliens. I walked out during a musical number (:lol) when the lead male character turned into a panther.

Desperado is a good movie. Its sequel, however, was horrendous.

Actually, Desperado is the sequal to El Maraichi which I loved. I thought Desperado was pretty bad. I haven't seen the third installment, Once Upon Time in Mexico yet.

I haven't seen the third installment, Once Upon Time in Mexico yet.Always thought of Desperado as more of a "reimagining" of El Mariachi, and it was pretty much marketed as such -- kind of a "let's make the same movie with a bigger budget and call it a sequel" deal. Either way, I thought it had enough style and naked Salma Hayek to make it enjoyable.

Once Upon A Time In Mexico... yuck. Johnny Depp is good, as usual, but there's really nothing to work with.

I did enjoy Salma Hayek but I hated the rocket launcher and machine gun guitar cases the two Mariachis used at the end of the movie. I thought that was corny.

Your right. Desperado did have a similar storyline as El Mariachi. Maybe that is why I disliked it so much. I thought the work Robert Rodriguez did in El Mariachi was a miracle considering his budget.

THis movie with Daryl Hannah and that kid from "Swimfan" (another worst movie nominee, imho) where he is this nascar wannabe turning tricks in Las Vegas until he can get enough money to get the Charlotte and join Richard Petty's pit crew.

Seriously- anyone who thought a movie with gay sex where the lead's gay best friend falls in love with him was a good mix with anything related to Nascar is smoking some awfully good shit.

EDIT: Don't know the name, I just saw it during an insomnia-riddled night on HBO and wish I hadn't.

I thought this was a thread about any of the "I Didn't Forget Who You Did Last Fall" or whatever the name of that place is/was.

I just heard an interview with Grillo. A couple of things:

1) He made clear the movie actually made $20. Two of the people who saw the movie were crew members who were reimbursed.

2) The screening was a requirement for an independent feature by the Screen Actors' Guild. Grillo deliberately screened it in Texas in winter so no one would think he had given up trying to find a distributor and was trying to promote it himself.

3) Foreign distribution deals are projected to gross about $600,000.

4) No one knows why the title is spelled incorrectly.

At once less and more interesting than the original story.
