i'm jealous being in va and all. only chance i get to see the spurs play live is versus the wiz or the bobcats. i'm 2 hours from dc and 4 hours from charlotte.

i'm SKERRRRRRED (dang, fuck me for being a wuss) about this one because it looks like the spurs *might* lose tonight against the wolves and it's been since 04-05 that they last lost 3 in a row and they'll be pissed off about several things if they lose tonight...doesn't help that we're on a BTB as well even though we've won all of them

i may head down to s.a. if i stop being a scaredy cat....should be able to find a single ticket and it's only an hour away

yeah the playoffs are a different matter because it's all the same two teams and they ride momentums, adjust matchups, etc...i agree, friday will be very interesting for so many reasons

1. spurs haven't lost 3 in a row since 04-05
2. mavs have been perfect on BTBs this season, 7 in a row but they are playing a very good team on this btb so i'd say it's a bit different
3. mavs have played well in san antonio last couple of games
4. the spurs crowd will be rabid MORE than usual which *should* help the spurs...it was an awesome atmosphere the day after thanksgiving, i couldn't hear after the game and got taunted in the elevator, out the door and all the way to my car

well I shouldn't be talking since I've never been to a game in SA but from what I hear, and how it seems, the fans get quieter and quieter every year

yeah, it's just the mics they use for tv, they reduca all the background noise...i often get home from mavs games and watch the game again on tivo and it's a completely different atmosphere...i did the same with the last spurs/mavs game and it was so different watching it on tv, so much quieter but it was apeshit at the arena

Right now, I respect Dallas more than San Antonio because they have taken every opponent (even the average teams) very seriously
