Really Pop, I have a hard time believing Butler couldn't do better than Scruberto....

Oberto doesn't have skills to play in NBA

I can't beliave he's getting minutes in a team that's trying to win the ring.

Start Michael Finley at center, Pop. He can dunk.

Friday is when Dirk comes to town. Love the indirect response though. Oberto is a joke and the fact that you fans think hes athletic or even good enough to be on an NBA court is beyond me! :drunk :drunk

How is it that one of Kori's own mods doesn't know where the fucking game thread is?

I think Oberto's expectations are too high on this board. Fabri is far from being the worst player in the league, and I actually like what he brings to the Spurs when he's on. I won't hate on a player just for having a string of bad games, but that's just me I guess.

Butler or Maggette is no solution to the problem of general malaise.

An individual can't solve a team problem.

The only worthwhile read on this board is Salma. The rest are the continuous bitching from all you experts because the Spurs aren't undefeated. Why, even the powerful Mavericks have dared to lose 7 games, and risk losing their following for being normal.

Duh! Look at the history of professional sports.

But it would be a huge ass plus.

I agree with this, Butler seriously only plays on garbage time, but with the way Oberto plays and was missing POINT-BLANK layups in the Cavs game what do the Spurs have to lose?

"huge ass plus"

With the Spurs being a "system" rather than grind-it-out, seat-of-the-pants balla/street basketball, a Maggette probably wouldn't be effective, no matter what is athelicism and muscles, before Nov 07.

The dance has started, Spurs need to dance with the dancers they have.

The Spurs don't have a talent/age problem. They have a group head problem.

If Pop can't get them to play, to buy into his system, then non-leader Tim sure won't, so we could be fucked.

I didn't know it was balla to go into the lane just trying to get free throws.

"for Mohammed in the middle of the season?"

which was a huge surprise to everybody who said the Spurs NEVER make mid-season trades. exception the proves the rule.

btw, Nazr didn't work out, he didn't close games, he treaded water to keep Horry rested, Nazr's gone, and doing, again, nothing for Pistons.

like when Pop never traded for Charles Smith?

And Nazr did work out, they won the title that year. And despite Spurs fans protestations, he actually made a difference that year.
