...wgaf, if USC is not in this game its completely worthless.
just kidding, lol.
thoughts:
Ohio State's schedule, in hindsight, was pretty weak. lets review:
ohio state 2006 schedule (important games):
@ t.u. won 24-7 ....beat a very overrated texas squad in austin
penn state 28-6 ....beat a, what turned out to be, better than i expected penn state team
@ iowa 38-17 ....beat the most overrated team the past 5 years in the entire NCAA, although notre dame deserves some credit there as well
michigan 42-39 ...gave up a ton of points and yards to a team that got the shit kicked out of them by USC...either michigan is overrated or USC should be in the title game
florida 2006 schedule (important games):
@ tennessee 21-20 ...win over a team that got beat by penn state
alabama 28-13 ...decent win over bowl team
lsu 23-10 ....great win over great team
@ auburn lost 27-17 ...i watched this entire game; florida controlled it but made mistake after mistake after mistake
@ georgia 21-14 ...good win over good team
south carolina 17-16 ...scraped by a decent team, but great coach
@ florida st. 21-14 ...beat rival who then annihilated ucla
arkansas 38-28 ...game was not as close as score, beat down a good arkansas team
prediction:
...tough game to predict, its not ohio state's fault they played some sorry teams (only tough games were michigan, t.u., and penn state?) while florida scraped by some teams they should have beat down but had more quality wins, imo. if michigan can put up 39 on ohio state, florida will score some points no doubt, but the key is how florida will slow the athletes of ohio state's offense. what also makes me wonder is the performance of tennessee and auburn in their bowl games....but all in all, i am going with florida b/c of added motivation in what otherwise is a slight edge to ohio state.
florida 27
ohio state 26
