Who the fuck do you know in Italy?

Noel Felix -- the basketball player who played on Spurs summer league. Good thing he had to go to practice -- we normally talk 30 minutes. I would have flipped if I got charged $100 to talk for a half hour.

Kori, when I get home I'll send you a link for something that might prevent that in the future.

I thought you were talking about the Rasho, Malik and Beno NBA contracts.

Yup expensive as hell. My mom just averts to using calling cards to make international calls now. shes sick of dealing with the idiots at the phone company.

So how did you guys get it reduced to just $2.00?

That's excessive! A 7 min. call to the USA from here costs about 1,36$ (incl. tax) during peak time (it's about 30% cheaper during off peak).
Coincidentaly the tarif for calls to the USA are exactly the same as for calls within the EU - at least from Slovenia.

Edit: I just saw the new price of 2$, that sounds much better!

Man, that lady was stupid. I told her that they charged me over $3 a minute for a phone call to Italy and she said that I was making that up. I was like um, you might want to get out your calculator and divide 27 by 7. The funny part was I heard her actually getting out her calculator and then she realized it was $3.85 :lol

She acted like a hard ass until I told her that I was going to call Time Warner and get a cable phone. Suddenly she changed her tune and went to her manager and got it reduced to like $2. She kept apologizing and was saying "My goal was to make you satisfied the first time" ... I was like yeah, you didn't seem very helpful until I said the words Time and Warner.

The funny part is we already called Time Warner earlier today and got digital cable for the upstairs TV, cable phone and their premium cable modem package for only like $120 a month. We were cancelling the SBC phone anyways.

Screw SBC...

Why I was shocked at the $27 for the call was because, before I called, SBC told me it would be $.78 per minute. LJ told them that today and they were like ... oh, don't listen to what we told you. :wtf Anyway, it's fine now. We barely use our home phone -- honestly the only phone call we placed all month, local or otherwise, was that one. So getting a bill for a total of $83 was ridiculous.

The deal we got from TimeWarner is good -- we'll keep DirecTV downstairs and have cable TV upstairs, plus have the premium cable modem.

We have 40 bucks a month all the long distance we want. Have the person call us and I will call you on the 3 way

I wonder how much it cost Rasho that one time when he called Ljubljana and told his mom all about his dunk.

I called Italy for 7 minutes and SBC charged me $27.00 on my phone bill.

Translation: I called a 900 number

She kept apologizing and was saying "My goal was to make you satisfied the first time"

I rest my case.

use the company called rapidlink and you can get calls over the world for cheap...it even works when you are overseas to call back home...you can pretty much call anywhere with this card. it was a lifesaver when i lived overseas.

whats sad is calls to Italy are probably more cheaper than freaking calls made in STATE here in Texas!!! I called Colorado and it was a hell of a lot cheaper than calling Waco here. and i have Verizon Long Distance. They are terrible
