I go ahead and take the time to tune in today although I try not to on a daily basis, I wanted to hear all about this weekend in sports.

After 2 hours about coach parcell's they started to talk about men who wear Boxers are different that men who wear Jockey underwear and how men who wear no underwear are Different from the men who wear....WTF has any of that to do about sports? And before Kori or anyone else post a link to there station or post a link to Jeff Vexler's E mail? Please don't waste your time. We all know from Nate Lundy to the call screener that is a huge waste of time.

Anyone knows if you want real sports or real answers you come to Spurstalk. And I want an answer to this.

Did anyone watch the Texas A&M Sooner's game? was that not one of the best games ever? Did anyone watch the Longhorns have the best comeback in there school history? Did anyone see The Texans game? Didn't a few High Schools make the playoffs? Didn't the spurs have a game? Friday and beat the lakers? Did they not have another game a day ago also? Well, after tuning into STSA You would think there was only one game and you have 4 Homos talking about what underwear I should use?

Thank you STSA and Nate Lundy , now can I have my 3 hours of my life back?

Mouse...all depends on what u want.

I've got three friends who shelled out their own money and brought a sports radio show to 930 KLUP. It's only on Monday nights from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. but is an alternative.

I can promise you this...if they talk about anything like the boxer thing...it's the last 10 minutes of the show....

I listen to them and hardcore unless I'm listening to the satellite system in the car!! lol

I have no problem with the Sportsradio programs. Of course, even here in Redskin country they still talk about Parcells and the boys. In fact, I think they talk more the Boys than the Skins. They have issues here in DC. BTW, I heard the funniest damn thing at work today. Here it is:

With a serious face: "How about them Wizards? They look strong. They might even make it to the NBA Finals. I think they match up well the Spurs. Kwame Brown and Etan Thomas can handle Duncan in a 7 game series. Should be a great year" :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

WTF Is wrong with San Antonio Sports Radio?

Not enough Kori Ellis.

:)

Just kidding.

I guess it's just a matter of taste. I have never been a huge fan of sports talk radio. I like Rome.

I think Vex/Walter's show is still too new to write it off, but I understand people's concerns. I like the Thompsons show.

Instead of listing everything that's wrong with the shows, list some suggestions here that would improve the shows (other than saying, just nix the hosts).

Thanks,

Kori

I think Vex, Thompson bros, Walter, and David are okay. I have never been a big Don guy, so I usually turn it when he is on. Mouse is just bitter because his act is not fresh with the new hosts. lol

Nixing Don Harris would do it.

Pooh can't follow simple instructions.

ok...for Kori's sake (one time) here are some suggestions

for STSA....actually nothing, that show is great the way it is.

for Hardcore Sports, a little less "homerism" and "Aggie" stuff, if they would call it like their Fox Sports show on Sunday night it would be better.

How is that? :)

Ask Artie at Fox radio about fresh, ask him where the Tony Bruno show got 95% of there sound clips and Ideas.

Brah I have news for you. STSA is not fresh enough for me as caller. Jt the Brick and Tony Bruno e mail me weekly saying when to call in,

This topic is not about me., It's about the solderer stationed at Ft,Samm who is a Dolphin fan and wants to know the updates on his coach. it's about the young boys and girls that still go to high school that may be tuning into hear what the other schools did that weekend and where they rank in the standings,

This topic is for the 5o plus year old sports fans who want to hear about The NFL player who almost was paralyzed this weekend. It's for the longhorn fans who had the best game all year, the Texas A&M fan, the NASCAR fans, etc..It's for the Folks who travel from all around the USA to come to San Antonio to work at USAA,SBC, or Toyota those folks are from Cleveland . NY, California, Oklahoma ,Canada, etc,,,,, In 30 minutes you can cover almost all of that if you talk fast and stop clowning around. Is 30 minutes of sports to much to ask?

So Don't try and make this about me. Because I will call into the Ticket radio the day the mighty Mavs play the spurs and I bet your simple minded trailer park ass will have the radio on when mighty Mouse shows you wannabe radio callers how the pros do it. Tune in it will be epic.....

Unlike you and Pooh who need a Viagra just to take out the trash? I call the shows and Other than Johnny Bottom-line there has been no one worthy to meet me live on the radio. To bad it took a laker Fan to man up to mouse.

Step up to the plate SS call In the show, and show us all how it's done.

Take off that Val Earl Wright and bring back Bruno, the chemistry with Andrew and Van Earl is as good as the Dallas Cowboys.

From the internet.....

"Should you be fortunate enough to live outside the reaches of the cruel Fox Sports nexus, Van Earl Wright is an amalgam of hair-spray and suits from Botany 500 intended to pass for a sportscaster. He blurts out scores, news and injury reports in a rhythmic cadence, occasionally barking or rolling his r's for added emphasis. He may also be -- and there's just no polite way to say this -- the worst sports anchor in the English-speaking world.

I mean, I'm sure there's some guy in Cuba or somewhere who just really sets people's teeth on edge when he's running through the jai alai footage. But if we restrict ourselves to the Western World, well, Van Earl laps the field."

Dude, that's harsh! Van Earl isn't bad on television. What do you expect anyway? Television guys are there to entertain, not inform. As far as radio goes, you are probably right. The radio guys need to be more insightful and informative as well as being entertaining. Have you heard Colin Cowherd on espn radio? He's pretty good.

Should have clarified.

Everyone here knows that I was the biggest Bruno fan. Sad to see him go.

I think the show was great when Jay Howard and Laura Green were on the show. Maybe Jay rubbed people the wrong way, but whenever I called in, I always said what I had to say and that was it. Jay or Laura were never rude. They did go off subject a few times, but overall, they focused on Spurs, Cowboys, and any other Texas sports (college, highschool). :)
