I'm all for names that are "different" and I guess if you're a celebrity, no one would make fun of you on the playground. But some people go too far. Alas...to each his own!

While we're on the subject of names...

I'm a big advocate of spelling a name the traditional way instead of inventing ways to spell it. It will save your child a lot of headaches not having to spell their name out every time.

I have a friend who named one of the girls Danniele. When she was writing out her baby names (like all women do when they're pregnant) I mentioned that she had spelled it wrong..she said "No I didn't. There are a lot of Danielle's and I want at least the spelling to be different." Then her second daughter was on the way and she wanted to name her Sydney, but she spells it Syddnee, again so the spelling not be the same as every other girl named "Sydney." :rolleyes

Needless to say neither child can get pre-printed personalized items and complain constantly of no one EVER spelling their names right.

I still say that Penny Hardway's name is Anfernee because his mother didn't know how to spell Anthony.

My oldest son's name is Sean. You'd be surpised at how many people cannot prounce his name. I've gotten 'Seen' or 'See-Ann'. It's not like it's an uncommon name.

My son's name is Iain, and everyone always spells it wrong. But we didn't make it up, it's actually the *true* Celtic way to spell it.

His dad is a moron....but it was either that, or ANGUS. WTF? :rolleyes

Well, according to the post where you explained that you didn't name him Angus, his Dad's last name is Moron.

what about people naming their daughters Abcde? Kind of odd... I'm all for different names but that would confuse people. I know the first time I saw it I was confused. I was photographing at day care centers and when I got the paper it had Abcde as the first name. I asked the teacher for the kids name because I thought they had forgot to put it...

How about ESPN? "Espen"

Moon Unit Zappa takes the gold medal in my opinion. It all just flows together in relevance.

Isn't this the same cunt that divorced her husband after a few shows doing Wild on E! so she ho around at all the "exotic party spots"? Well, at least that's what the hubby says. I'm quite sure that hurts. And now this ho is gonna be the mother of children!?!? Seeing your Mom ho around on the E! channel is like seein your principal on Girls Gone Wild.

We named Little ASF a nice (I thought at the time) normal "Evelyn".

What never ceases to amaze me is how many unconventional, stupid-ass names they sell all of that pre-printed souvenier crap in...but just try finding Evelyn. Maybe 5% of the time they have Evelyn. Drives me up the freaking wall.

Oh and my favorite dipshit name of all time is Aquanetta.

Somebody actually sniffed so much fucking hairspray they decided to hang that on their kid.
