I want Irvin to get in because it fuels my argument on why Rod Smith should get in.

Good point....I would think that Art Monk getting in would help as well.

IMO, Art Monk should be in.

I'm no Raider fan by any stretch of the imagination, but why has Ken Stabler not been elected to the HOF?

I agree. Receivers are for some reason held to a higher standard then other positions in the hall of fame.

I'd like to see Bruce Matthews get in. Easily the best O-lineman in the history of the Oilers/Titans. 17 years (14 pro bowls) and he dominated at every position that he played on the line.

Derick Thomas is a lock, dont no if I have ever seen I more disruptive lb not named LT. 7 sacks in a game? Thats enough for me

I hope so...dude deserves it.

7 sacks in one game. I think Dave Krieg is still looking over his shoulder.

If Art monk doesn't get in again I'll be sick....as for Cocaine Irvin, I hate him more then any Cowpie, but eh he was the master of pushing off...

Yeah because no other reciever ever did that. Jerry Rice was just as guilty and he had less of a reason to because the was the best ever.

Irvin, Monk, Rod Smith and Reed should all be in.

Irvin and Monk will both eventually make it, Thurman Thomas intrigues me though

Thurman Thomas in my opinion should be a first ballot guy.

16000 career yards and 88 career tds is pretty good, but I have heard people say that Tiki wont get in, and he has 15600 career yards and 104 career td, so I dont know

Horry For 3!

The late Derrick Thomas, dude was bad ass.

mardigan

Yeah man, I remember seeing him when I was really little and thinking there was no way anyone could be a better defensive player. 126.5 sacks in 11 seasons and 9 pro bowls, absolutely ridicoulous.

Thurman Thomas in my opinion should be a first ballot guy.

That would be a neat accomplishment for Thurman to pull off this year, given that he was a finalist last year but wasn't voted in.

There have to be between three and six enshrinees. Of the 15 finalists, Dean, Matthews, Reed, Charlie Sanders, and Tagliabue are up for the first time. It's Monk's 7th time as a finalist; Guy's 6th. For the others, it's the fourth time for Hickerson and Zimmerman; the 3rd time for Dent, Grimm, Irvin, and D. Thomas; and the 2nd time for Thurman Thomas and Wehrli.

If I had 6 votes to give out, I'd give them to: Bruce Matthews, Andre Reed, Michael Irvin, Art Monk, Paul Tagliabue, and Russ Grimm.

Doesn't change the fact that I think he should be a first ballot guy..........alright, I'm reaching, damnit, I made a mistake.

Good catch.

Michael Irvin - Wide Receiver - 1988-1999 Dallas Cowboys

That boy can't stay right

He'd be in if he kept his slate clean

Ray Guy - Punter - 1973-1986 Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders

This Ray Guy, the king of the coffin corner.

That seems to be a lost art among today’s punters

I remember when they played in the superdome and Guy’s punts were hitting the overhead speakers / scoreboard

too bad we didn't have him on the Cowboys
