We watched the movie yesterday at the Palladium and it's pretty damn good. The reviews haven't been great, but it's a nicely done sports movie. It actually goes down in my top five sports movies of all-time.
I might be a little biased because I've always been fascinated by the Marshall tragedy and I've read about it over the last couple years, but they did a good job of keeping true to the storyline and not going overboard.
I can't believe it took 35+ years to finally tell the story. If you like sports movies, it's a must see :tu

MM from Uvalde is actually a pretty darn good actor.
Loved him in in the Grisham movie.

I was surprised what a good job they did keep true to the storyline and not Hollywood-ing it. I didn't cry but I can see why I lot of people would.
Even if you don't like sports movies, you should see it. It is interesting how different people handled the tragedy so differently. I am not a Matt M. fan, but he did a good job. I also thought Matthew Fox did a great job as Dawson and David Strathairn, the guy who played Dr. Dedmon too.

Am I the only person left that thinks Matthew Mcahuney (or however the fuck you spell his name) is a giant douchebag?

How's the new theater?
I saw Dream Girls there and really liked it. I didn't get to see all the theater has to offer but I noticed it has a coffee stand, restaurant, and bar area as well.
What I liked best was all the leg room between the aisles. The seats were comfty too. :)

Our Boy from Uvalde is a crappy actor with a crappy voice.
The only reason to watch the movie Sahara, on mute, is Penelope Cruz. :)

I saw it as a Sneak and was touched by the movie. I also liked the pictures of the real people during the credits. Be sure to stay and see that part.

Definitely on my to see list. But I think I will be checking out that film about that African serial killer first.
Great Film...(I cried)...

Invincible was great. I especially enjoyed the reenactments of the games from 1976. The uniforms, the players, the coaches, the fans; it all looked authentic. It would be cool if a rich San Antonion could make a film about the Spurs doing the same sort of thing.

MM is actually a funny, approachable guy according to the folks I know who met him here. Doesn't have much range as an actor, but it doesn't really look like he needs it.

Rocky, nice reminicing, if your a old Rocky fan and great message but Stallone can't act.
The Persuit of Happiness may win Will Smith an oscar, but the movie in itself doesn't even measure up to my next film...
Little Miss Sunshine is Oscar worthy, but the film isn't carried by just one actor
So, my top movie so far in this Academy cycle is, We are Marshall.
