Everybody loves lists.

I wonder what Fox News'

"Top 10 most watched Fox News sheeple/rabble segments"

... would be? :lol

Be warned, for many of you, the reading level in the articles below will be way above your comprehension. http://spurstalk.com/forums/images/smilies/reading.gif

Suprise suprise.
The most read "news" stories are the culture/life stuff.

What Shamu Taught Me About a Happy Marriage was read more than Saddam Hussein sentenced to death by hanging, Iran successfully test firing 3 new missiles, Skilling sentenced to 24 years in prison, North Korea's claims to have conducted its first nuke test, Google's buyout of YouTube for $1.7 billion, and hundreds of other significant events in 2006.

Random aside:
Google: 2006 midterm election results - 1.4 million results
Google: Korean nuke tests - 1.1 million results
Google: paris hilton - 40 million results

Google NEWS: paris hilton - 6069 results
Google NEWS: north korean test - 6023 results

CURRENT TOP 10 FoxNews read stories, I haven't been able to get a list of over 2006, but the stories are all the same regardless of the news site it seems. No actual current events.

# Air Force Staff Sergeant Relieved of Duties After Posing Nude in Playboy
# Police: Blast at U.S. Embassy in Athens Is 'Act of Terrorism'
# Texas High School Teacher Charged Under 'Peeping-Tom' Law for Videotaping Girls Wrestling
# 14 Carter Center Advisers Resign Over Former President Jimmy Carter's Book
# Over-the-Counter Cold and Cough Medicines Can Kill Babies, CDC Says
# James Brown's 5-Year-Old Son Left Out of His Will
# Man Arrested in Indiana Workplace Shooting Says He Shot Disabled Workers Over 'Respect'
# Duke Lacrosse 'Rape' Accuser Changes Story Again, Says Seligmann Didn't Touch Her
# Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz Break Up
# Rosie O'Donnell's Row With Barbara Walters Predates Trump

CNN's most popular stories ATM.

* Playboy pose costs staff sergeant
* Lawyers: Brown son, 5, not in will
* Suave Russian billionaire arrested
* Officials flap as birds fall from sky
* Diaz, Timberlake split

The ramifications are clear.
The future of humanity is bleak.

But did you read it? It was an interesting article. :tu :lol

The ramifications are clear.
The future of humanity is bleak.

Maybe more people watch the news on TV or read the newspaper or magazines rather than surfing on the net? Maybe people most into current events don't waste hours and hours online. Or, maybe *they* just have other sources than the ones you quoted. Those statistics are pretty worthless...so there's still hope. :lol

But anyway, thanks for the links boutons ... there were some good articles. :)

You mean there are some people who still read the NYT. That's a surprise.
