Just because Nash has a decent percentage doesn't mean he's the best shooter...

Xylus

Does it help that Nash been clutch all season?

What exactly are your qualifications for a good shooter?

Leetonidas
01-12-2007, 06:21 PM
Nash is a clutch and great shooter, but Nowitzki is just amazing.

Spurminator
01-12-2007, 06:30 PM
Nash is shooting at an effective FG% rate of 63%. For someone who handles the ball and shoots it as often as he does, that's amazing.

I think it would have to be either Nash, Nowitzki, Ray Allen, or Michael Redd. It's really hard to choose between those four.

JMarkJohns

Nash or Allen. This season (maybe last couple) it's probably Nash, but overall, I'd be hardpressed not to vote for Jesus!

As for per position:
PG: Nash
SG: Allen
SF: Jamison
PF: Dirk
C: Yao (probably) Okur, B.Miller or Murphy get close consideration.

It's amazing that a 7 footer can all sorts of shots while fading away. It's even more amazing that a 7 footer HAS to fade away :lol

My vote would be for Redd right now. He makes shots with people in his grill cuz he has such a quick release.

:wtf Peja??? He hasn't been a good shooter for the past 3 years now...

I'd put Dirk, Allen, Nash, Arenas, (well at least with the way he's been playing so far this year), Kobe, etc. before Peja.

Dirk. It's really hard to concentrate on shooting while you are flopping. Hasn't been as proficient a shooter/flopper since Reggie Miller.

Reggie used to always get the foul calls cuz he stuck his leg out and made contact with defender while shooting jumpers. Dirk rarely gets fouled on his jump shots. He gets fouled all the time when he drives to the hoop though. It's tough not to foul him cuz he kinda makes his long gangly arms and legs go all different directions to try to draw contact. It's what they've taught him to do. He's becoming very good at it. Not Duncan good but getting there. Duncan is great at drawing fouls. His problem is that maybe he shouldn't since he sucks at shooting free throws.

wtf games are you watching. That phantom foul on O'Neal last night in the fourth was textbook Dirk fade/flop with no contact. He gets tons of those. I'll give you though that he drives, fade, flops as well. He's a great player but then so was Miller. They both are/were consumate fade/floppers.

In a year or two....Chris Lofton.

He is an NBA 3-pt shooter, as he can create his own shot, and shoot with anybody in his face. He doesn't need any room, he doesn't need a big man to draw the pressue inside, he does it by himself.

He will be one of the best 3-pt shooters of all time.

What, no one said Lebron? :)

If you were at the Tuesday night game against Kings, you would think so.

But then, last night Dixon put on a show in Portland .....

Haha, nice to be able to laugh in the face of utter and complete defeat. :)

I like Ray Allen.
