Sure, and the Mavs would win with Peyton Manning at PF.

Anyhow, Colts do go down today. McNair for superbowl MVP

...i understand you are a forecaster of sorts, and i appreciate your levelheadedness, but colts win this one.

wrong. defense and ball control always wins, especially against chokers like Manning. Baltimore dominates, and forces Manning to throw 4 picks.

i don't think so. i think the Colts play well today and Manning gets deep 2-3 times which will be enough cause i don't think the ravens do much on offense.

The Colts are looking mighty conservative up to this point, and that can only help the Ravens later in the game.

Didn't the Colts pay any attention to how badly this style of play cost the Chargers in Baltimore earlier this season?

Man, in a game like this, my money is on Steve McNair. I love that guy. He'll never be as good as Peyton is in most games, but he knows how to win big time games.

i stated why i thought the colts would win, but not why i wanted them to win, which i will now. it is so irritating listening to teams tell others how good they are and ray lewis running his fat mouth.

True. Vanderjagt can't screw it up this year.

People often point to Manning, Dungy or the defense as the reason the Colts can make it a SB; Vanderjagt only missing only the most crucial FGs is often overlooked.

Another great defensive game for the Colts. I like to see this after all the heat the defense took for fucking up late in the season, but Manning can't keep counting on defense and special teams to bail him out of games. He needs to show up next week, because while I always appreciate a Colts win, no TDs on offense and a 39.6 quarterback rating is nothing to boast about. Either team they play next week has an offense that can actually make plays, and I'm kind of gunning for the Pats to win so the Colts will get a chance to avenge the last few years, but if the Colts can continue to be so efficient at shutting down the run, a matchup in San Diego might not be the worst case scenario.

Like I said, either way, the AFC title game is going to be a blast, and props for the Colts on the win today.

Vs Pittsburg Peyton let himself get sacked on 3rd down for 12 yards.
Turned a 34 yard chip shot into a 48 yarder.

To be fair, he almost threw 4 picks.

...he said the colts would a) lose b) get dominated c) manning would throw 4 picks. wrong, wrong, and wrong.

as for the picks, do you watch football? cause there is almost 4 picks thrown by a QB in almost every game. the announcers just glorified it since it was the playoffs and manning. in any game there are many interceptions left wanting...

J.T.
01-14-2007, 04:39 PM
I like how I point out that stretch called 4 INTs and it almost happened, and suddenly I don't watch football. Welcome to The Intarweb.

jgw thinks that anyone who doesn't agree with him doesn't watch football.

far from it. but one has to realize how stupid it is to say that Manning almost threw 4 interceptions...that be the case, then:

1. WR A almost caught 3 TDs
2. RB B almost broke it for 80 yards
3. kicker C almost kicked a 45 yard game winner
4. QB D almost connected for a 75 yard TD
5. team E almost won

...happens every game. things always 'almost' happen. yet we live in a world where what actually happened, is all that matters. enjoy fantasy land...

Ray and Merriman both can go o.d. on steroids together. On their couches. Because their teams aren't playing next weekend.
