I believe it is a tree that the camera is rigged to. But damn. I don't want to look at birds. Let me see a lion eat some guy or some tribal warfare or something.

:lol @ people watching this.
I admit I've been sucked in. I wonder if this is the same as those camera's they have for a show on Discovery HD called "in the waterhole" or some shit like that. They had a fucking camera disguised as a tortise and the lions tried to eat it. It was actually pretty funny.

Nkorho Pan is brought to you by Africam.com, ranked as one of the top African wildlife sites on the web. We pioneered the live web cam industry in Africa back in 1998 when we broadcast live images from some of the wildest places on the continent. This was a world first and fast gained popularity world wide. Technology has moved on and we are proud to bring you the first of our live streaming cameras on the Africam Wildlife Channel.
Nkorho Pan is a natural water hole in the prestigious Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, in South Africa. Nkorho pan is named after Nkorho bush Lodge which gets it name from the Shangaan derivative for the call of the yellow-billed hornbill, a common and unusual looking bird from this area. Well, I caught a little bit. I'm DLing some BT files, so my throughtput is making streaming a bit choppy. I saw one walk from the opposite side of the hole, around towards the right, but stop at the right end of the hole. There were other lions behind her, snoozing and laying around. No carnage, though. Didn't see the jeep drive up, but if that happened, they're man-conditioned, and they'll be back.

I check in on that site every now and then. A friend had told me about it several months ago. The best times are after 10 PM Central and then early in the day.
I've seen lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelope, hyenas, monkeys, water buffaloes, several varieties of ducks, crows, vultures. Once the camera zoomed in on the ground and followed a large browish-red centipede for a while. The animals seem to come in waves, almost in time-slots.
I usually mute it or turn the sound way down when I visit the site.

While watching this morning...or dozing off to the sounds of the wild...I caught a bunch of lionesses drinking water...there must have been 6 at least..but not all at once...the most on screen was probably 4. And the camera followed one as it did it's business...sad to say she had the trots.
