So far here is how I rate them:

1. Lakisha - I have her at #1 b/c as far as I know she doesn't have the experiance like Doolittle has as a backup singer, and yet Lakisha has that dominating voice and stage presence like a 20 year pro. Still Lakisha is a slight notch up on Melinda.

2. Melinda - Great voice, great stage presence, basically almost everything I said about Lakisha applies to Melinda. Remember though, she has experiance as a backup singer and yet Lakisha stills sounds "slightly" better than her in IMO!

3. Jordin - She's gorgeous, great personality, but best of all -- she has a damm good voice!! Her laugh and overall personality reminds me of Selena. IMO Jordin is quickly catching up to Lakisha and Melinda.

4. Haley - I think she has a good voice but the top three are on another island. It's going to be difficult for her to gain some ground. Very pretty with knock out legs!! Not to mention she's from San Antonio!

5. Gina - I like her voice. She kind of grew on me b/c at first I didn't care for her b/c I was paying attention to the "others". She won't win AI but she'll make it as a rock artist. I would buy her cd. Reminds me of the Pretenders lead singer........what's her name?

6. Stephanie - Like Simon has said many times about remembering names, I keep forgetting hers. She has a good voice but nothing memorable. She doesn't have that "wow" factor. Still she is better, much better than any of the guys.

7. Chris Sligh - I think he has the best voice of the guys. He sings well and he looks very comfortable on stage.

8. Chris Richardson - He sings o.k. I guess. He has typical white boy moves when he dances, kind of goofy! Although he did sing that slow song very good yesterday.

9. Blake - I'm not impressed with this guy at all! He destroyed Diana Ross's song last week and I don't think he was all that great yesterday. He seems to want to add his wierd noise making rap sound efx to every song. I'm not a fan of his "kind" of music so maybe that's why I rate him low. I will say this about him, he does look like he's comfortable on stage, so that's a plus.

10. Phil - He's boring! He sings just o.k. Plus he doesn't seem comfortable up there, seems kind of awkward. He's better than Sanjaya though!! :lol

11. Sanjaya - Well what can I say? The guy should've been eliminated long ago! Kind of reminds of one the DeBarges. The DeBarges was a 80's family group.

Eric the Midget called in and Gary asked him if he sent Ryan Seacrest an e-mail about Howard’s plan to get Sanjaya voted as the next “American Idol.” Although Eric admitted he did send Ryan such a message, he refused to get onto his e-mail account to read it on the air. However, Eric did say the gist of his e-mail was to get Ryan to “combat” Howard, while adding he voted for his favorite “American Idol” contestant, LaKisha, “as many times as he could” during the voting hours last night.

After Howard referred to Eric as “an ingrate” for attempting to “snitch” on him to Ryan, Gary noted Eric was now refusing to take part in the wrestling trivia challenge he had lined up for him, mainly because there was no prize if he won. Gary then commented that he asked Eric to come up with a list of demands for the contest, but Eric replied he wouldn’t do that because he assumed he wouldn’t get what he wanted no matter what was on his list.

Howard went on to take calls from listeners who said they voted hundreds of times for Sanjaya before playing a clip of his performance last night of the Kinks’ “You Really Got Me.” Following even more calls from people who talked about how many times they voted for Sanjaya, Howard announced that he felt “the fix was in” if Sanjaya didn’t advance to the next round.

True, Like Paula said it is a SINGING COMPETITION. I had people at my high school that could sing better than Sanjaya. He is good for his age a suppose and I can see him going to Hollywood but there is no reason why he keeps advancing and people better than him are getting eliminated. He has the homo-sexual vote and girls' 10-17 vote. Sanjaya is ruining the show. If he wins it will really hurt the show and many won't watch again next year. This is by far the worst year of Idol yet. I wouldn't expect the winner to go on and sell a bunch of albums.

10. Sanjaya - I think he is trying to hide his weak vocals behind his hairdos. I wasn't familiar with the song(I'm an 'ol fart I guess :lol ). Weak, very weak!!

09. Chris Sligh - His worst performance by far!

08. Phil - I think "his" best performance but still too boring.

07. Chris Richardson - Just so so for me! Still sounds like Big Bird!

06. Blake - Thank God he didn't do any beatboxing, but then again maybe he should've! I think he exposed his weakness........not so good vocals!

05. Gina - I've liked her every week. She has given solid performances every time, but her vocals aren't up to par with the Big Three!

04. Haley - This girl sounds great every week, that given any other season, Haley would be one of the contestants to shoot for. Still way behind the Big Three! Looked "hot" though!

Yeah, he definitely wasn't perfect, but when he was on, man he was on. He had a beautiful depth and tone to his voice that I don't really think the other guys have, except... It needs to change or else we'll always have the Sanjayas of the world winning this thing. This is my suggestion:

1. Have it to where the poeple can vote only "one time" whether it's online or calling in.

2. Have the peoples vote only count a small %. Say the judges 70%, peoples 30% or 60-40.

3. Once the bottom two are picked, the judges would decide who goes home by having them sing again or by the previous nights performance.

The reason for #2 is because poeple are still going to vote based on looks, song selection, uniqueness(like Blake's beatboxing) and of course to screw up the show. Too many people have forgotten this is a SINGING CONTEST!

Last night we watched the show at the Josephine theater with Haleys family/friends. NEVER AGAIN! I thought it would be fun but they showed it on a sucky screen. I missed my high definition TV at home. Plus I couldn't really hear it because everybody talked the whole time. The only time they weren't talking was when Haley was on. So I was annoyed the whole time. Luckily I set the DVR to record it. The only thing good was that they had free food. lol

As for me, I thought she did good, not her best, but good enough to get her to the next round. That being said, I do think she's done all she could and it's obvious she's not the one AI wants to win. I think she should just go out and have fun and sing whatever he wants to......if she makes it to the next round.

Very boring show.

1. Blake - sort of boring and kareoke but came across well.
2. Jordin - boring but she did stick her own runs in and again, looks like she is having fun.
3. Sanjaya - sorry, but I REALLY liked it. He did an awesome job. In a night where everyone else was snoozing he looked just as able as most anyone. He sang great, got into the emotion, and pulled it off nicely.
4. Melinda - again she picks a song that suits her and not the genre, and she keeps getting away with it. Simon didn't like her at all.
5. Chris - zzzz. Sounded good but not exciting. This is the point in the rundown that should be labeled 'best of the worst' as only the top 2 shone and melinda was just ok.
6. Lakisha - losing steam in a major way. She was manic and I just don't need to see anymore of her boobs.
7. Haley - wow her hair was awful. I still can't believe what Simon said about her getting by in the contest by wearing skimpy clothes. It may be true, but wow, the way he said it didn't come across well at all.
8. Phil - wow, he was bad. How is he sill in this thing? The guy just creeps me out to watch and his singing sounds like he is whistling thru his nose.

Latin music was a horrible category choice given the contestants- none of them could really pull it off.

I didn't care for Lakisha or the Justin Timberlake kid ( forgot his name). I think those two should be in the bottom two.

08. Phil - Maria,Maria is a good song but Phil's voice was too soft.

07. Chris - I think he stumbled on some of the words, not good.

06. Haley - This was the week for her to step up and she blew it! With so much talk about her skimpy outfits, she should've worn something conservative so the people could pay attention to her voice. I think she should've chosen a Selena ballad like "Dreaming of You". She probably would've surprised alot of people if she would've sang in spanish!

05. Jordin - She did good but nothing great. Bad choice of song!

04. Lakisha - I think she did good, maybe not her best performance but she did get away from her comfort zone.

03. Sanjaya - I think just the fact that he sang the song in spanish says alot. If he doesn't know spanish that means he took time to learn the words. I thought he did good. His best by far!

02. Blake - I hated to put him this high but hey, he did a great job! He didn't put any crappy sound fx in there. Kept it true to the song! ( Hopefully this will be the last time I rate him this high. :lol )

01. Melinda - Even in the latin genre she did great! She's proving that she can sing anything. Many people will think she got away with singing a latin tune, but what people don't know is that AI has a list of songs that the contestants chose from. Songs are from any era!! So Melinda DID stay within the rules.

The show last night was awful.

Latin music was a horrible category choice given the contestants- none of them could really pull it off.

I didn't care for Lakisha or the Justin Timberlake kid ( forgot his name). I think those two should be in the bottom two.

Haley will likely be in the bottom three- she was aight. I do like that she seems a little more bold with her vocals... still has a long way to go.
I hope she makes it another week.

Sanjaya to quote Simon, " wasn't that bad". Of course if he were voted off ( I know, I know- yea right; keep dreaming) I wouldn't complain.

Some of Selena's english songs have spanish phrases in them so Haley wouldn't have had to learn a whole song in spanish. Sanjaya seemed to surprise everyone by singing in spanish and he did good. I think if she would've chosen a song with some spanish lyrics, people would have recognized her effort and voice for a change!

Last night's "American Idol" was all sorts of boring. The moment of the night was of course when JLo mentored Sangina. He sang "Besame Mucho" when he really should've sang "La Isla Bonita", but that's besides the point. The best part was when JLo started to sing with him. Watching her sing is like watching hyenas slowly devour a baby zebra. It's slow as hell and painful.

That being said, Sangina wasn't half bad last night. Painted on facial hair and everything.

It almost looked like Haley was relieved that she was eliminated and doesn't have to go through another week of wise cracks about her outfits, legs, Simon, etc. I still say she was a good singer but her decision to show more skin obviously cost her. Haley should have stayed true to herself and sang the type of songs she was comfortable with, that would be slow songs. I am not comparing Haley to Melinda, but that's why she(Melinda) is strong every week b/c she doesn't go far from her comfort zone.
