Why isn't Dallas the #1 seed?

Mavs will end up the 1 seed and no freaking way will the Spurs be the 8th. So you don't have to worry.

He's just being a hater. Or maybe he actually thinks the Suns will end up with a better record. Which wouldn't be a huge surprise or anything, though I don't know why anyone would be predicting that at this point.

Without changes SA will fall to a sixth seed.

Spurs will end up a 3 or 4 with the team they have now.

Exactly. They're a 3/4 right now and it's not like the current team is going to drop 15 out of 20 at some point or something.

So if you know that we will lose go to Pop and say him that they should not even come to the playoffs.

I hate the pesimistic predictioners.
So screw you.

I'm not sure there are many teams who would rejoice with facing the Spurs in the first round.

The Spurs will be no lower than a 3 or 4 seed if for no other reason than Houston cant stay healthy. If Houston was healthy I could legitimately see the Spurs slipping to 4 or 5.

Lately, right. But playoffs are an all different story, my friend.

Other teams do know Spurs won't play so badly indefinetly and that it might be an old but also very experienced team and also that if they can find their identity back, they'll be very dangerous again.

I'm sure other teams don't underestimate them because of an hard phase as passionate fans can do.

I can't see the spurs being any seed but the 3rd seed. I don't think they'll drop further in the seedings.

I don't think that's right. As I understand the restructuring of the playoff seeding, 3 is possible for a second place team in a division if it has a better record than the 3rd division champion in the conference.

1. Dallas
2. Phoenix
3. Spurs

After that, who cares?

The Spurs will win round 1 then face a Phoenix team that they match up very well against.

By the time they play Dallas in the WCF, the playoffs will be far enough along that the Mavs' mental demons will begin to appear. Just the name "Finals" in the series may give the Spurs an edge. Dallas is much better at overcoming underdog status than defending anything, whether it be home court advantage or favorite status. Once they're the favs, they start to think. And think. Including the playoffs, Dallas has lost to the Spurs the last two they've played in Dallas. They'll have 4 this time. :)
