LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Nebraska's home game against Oklahoma State has been rescheduled for March 5, the Cornhuskers announced Tuesday.

The game originally was scheduled for last Saturday. But the Cowboys, ranked No. 12 this week, weren't able to travel to Lincoln because of inclement weather in Oklahoma.

Tickets for the postponed game should be used on Monday, March 5. The game will tip off at 7:05 p.m. CST and will be the teams' last regular-season contest. ESPN will likely pick up the extra game as an extension of its 'Big Monday' series featuring a weekly Big 12 game.

It is the first time in Big 12 men's basketball history that a game has been postponed from its original date to one later in the season due to weather. It will also be the first time a Big 12 Conference game is played on the Monday prior to the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship, slated for Oklahoma City this year on March 8-11.

Unless either team secures one of the top 4 seeds in the Big 12, they will play Thursday. If Oklahoma State earns one of the top 4 seeds, they will not play again until Friday.

Lots of love for Nebraska in that statement. Of course, after last night, we don't deserve it.
