Did the Spurs make a run at him?

He's averaging 13.5ppg and 10.5rpg with 2 steals. I think I'm right when I say no one held his rights and the bulls just picked him up. Would have been a lovely addition to our small forward lineup.

Ah well...

Ah well... He was a free agent. It would have been a lovely addition, agreed... but I think the Spurs simply run out of money.

If the Spurs would have gotten him and with the rights of Scola, they could have fielded a team with Argentina NT 2,3,4. http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/images/smilies/smidrunk.gif

He wanted more than the Spurs were willing to give him. He signed a 3-yr. deal with the Bulls, which is what he wanted.

The Spurs couldn't even afford to bring in Oberto for a 2-yr. guaranteed deal.

I love Oberto. He led the Brazilian soccer league in goals last year.

For the posters from Argentina, who do you think as the best upside for all these Argentine players coming into the league? I've heard a lot of good things about Nocioni and Delfino. Even Oberto gets a lot of pub. Could any of them be better than Ginobili?

QUESTION.

I guarantee you this, none of those Argentines love their Time Warner like Manu.

I think Walter Hermann will be the next one to arrive to the NBA. He must improve his defense though.
