Fox News...........
The old farts out there might remember "Nipper" the dog on the old RCA record labels. He was sitting with his head cocked listening to an old phonograph. The idea behind the logo was "his Master's voice" which the dog was hearing.........
Now, photoshop Roger Ailes sitting listening to an RNC talking point with his head cocked.
I think Obama as a smoker is going to be a minor issue, regardless of what the pundits at Fox News say (didn't look like a slam piece to me, btw).
I think smoking shows a SERIOUS lack of personal judgement and self-control; expecially for someone as young as Obama. He KNOWS the health risks, and he knew them when he started, and he still does it. When he dies before his time, he is going to hurt people; its selfish.
Not to mention HIS side of the Aisle has many more people opposed to big tobacco than the other side.
Is the White House (West Wing) smoke free? Most government buildings are.

I think the only people who will see this as a problem are people who don't plan to vote for Obama anyway.

I disagree. I think people will have a problem with it; just like people who voted for him have a problem with Bush's "youthfull indescretions", DWI, etc....people just won't have enough of an issue with it to change their votes.

Fair enough, I meant having enough of a problem that their votes would be affected. I'm sure there will be Obama voters that wish he didn't smoke.

It's odd. I would never vote for John Boehner, but I would never use his chain smoking as a reason.

What happens when Obama breaks the habit? Weigh the sympathy.
Obama The Smoker gets more Southern votes than Obama the non-Smoker.
Fantastic posturing.

IMO the majority of folks today rate smoking as a far bigger SIN
that drinking
doing drugs
Clintons use of cigars
Infidelity
the 10 original sins
Sheet it's like why people don't believe in Budda-Imagine a 350 lbs
fat guy talking about self-indulgence.
It shows a weakness of character and GOD forbid America
will never tolerate someone in the white house, with a weakness
of character :dramaquee

Your just looking for reasons to not vote for the guy. I agree with an earlier post in that people who don't like him to begin with will find a problem with his smoking

That's right. But that won't preclude the Obama haters from spewing their vitriol on the Senator from now until the general election. When the criticism will of course worsen.
