View Full Version : Does SpursTalk have what it takes to be the best?

I still remain hopeful that SpursTalk will win it all this year but there are some definite concerns:

Lack of consistency: Some threads start strong but seem to fizzle into the same gobbledygook. Threads need to start strong and finish strong. If you want "classic threads" you can't just phone it in. You can't rely on mod's to bail you out all the time!

Respect factor: Some of the SpursTalk veterans seem to feel entitled...Like past posts allow them to coast the rest of the way. You brought it before, dig deep and bring it again. Prove all the nonbelievers wrong...they think you don't have it anymore and need to put the keyboard away. Are they right?

Trade possibilities: There are some strong posters on other boards out there. Maybe we can package Senor Spur, SeguSpur, and a pick for someone who can come in and shake things up.

There are other concerns that I have but I know that I have not paid my dues on this board. I hope you will consider my arguments objectively and add any concerns you might have. I know this board still has it deep down. Everyone just needs to get their "mindset" straight and help each other to be the best they can....every thread....every post.

Go SpursTalk Go!

Perfect! That's exactly what we need. We can't be afraid to ask the hard questions.

I feel entitled. To what, I'm not sure; but entitled, nonetheless.

It all rests on Kori's shoulders... I think if she can dominate the business side of things, we'll be fine. That and start cleaning the boards like I know she can! :smokin

I think this is probably the site that nobody wants to play come playoff time.

No, No man, it's cool....I'll get it....It's right by my door anyways....I completely forgot about the "SWITCH" last year...Oh, so it really wasn't the officiating... :rolleyes

I think SpursTalk is like the San Antonio River before Mark Cuban made his comments.

It's gotten pretty filthy. Filthy language and filthy with trolls.

Here's an easy "hard question"...who is SpursTalk really competing with and in what division, "Heavyweight"?

Well DallasChat and SunSpot are in playoff form. Will they ever lose again? Ever? Even once?

They are in a lighter weight class, to stick with the boxing parallel.

I show up and compete in game blogs about as often as Oberto has a great game, so I guess I could pick it up a little.

I'd like to see you post the links to DallasChat and SunSpot. Seeing is believing...if you don't mind. I know if anyone would know if they are for real, mouse would know.

I'm pretty sure that Stein has SpursTalk at #1 in his current power rankings.

Bball-World is definitely catching up. Realgm has the most members. Both are sites with every teams forum so that is an advantage to them.

If only Mark Cuban was the owner of Spurstalk.com.

He would straighten up this place in no time. Look what he did for the San Antonio river!

Frankly speaking I go to look up the thread and then just goes through it reading one or two sentemces in post or thread.

It wasn't like that some time ago.

But maybe I got older

I opened a forum about the spurstalk forum and every poster wants to trade Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan for Jermaine O'Neal or AK47.

I think Kori and timvp are trying to keep costs down so they can sell in 2008.

The only problem with your suggestion about trading Sequ is that, similar to beno, no one would want him.

If Kori succeeds in putting out the mulch fire, then ST DOES have what it takes to be the best!

This must be a joke because I remember an instance where they would get a lot of money putting google ads and selling but turned it down.
