Mr. Holt only gets 4/5 of a television share to budget with, so you'll have to forage, since your feed and care falls under that 1/5 that he doesn't receive. Don't try any of the other three former ABA team owners, either, unless maybe the phantom StL Spirits partnership will throw you a bone. They're in the same boat.

Your owner has three duties. You can rank them in any order you like.

1. Maintain the Spurs as a viable franchise in San Antonio--a very small market

2. Maintain the Spurs as a good entertainment value for fans which means keeping a competitive team on the floor at a price SA fans can afford--year in, year out.

3. Build a team which can win championships when things go right and the planets are aligned.

There's another option that is what you want: Feed the kitty to build a dynasty that will win championships every year for demanding fans no matter what the competition but I don't think that is realistic.

Perhaps you need to be neutered to take away those awful pangs of greed and lust
