View Full Version : Dubious Airport Security Making me Scared (and Dubious)

So, I doubt I have been the only one to find this flaw in airport security.

Having recently traveled to Florida (from the Great Texas) I had a layover in Dallas, a three hour layover. I decided that I would eat TGIF. So I am eating and I realize I am cutting (strenuously) my steak with a rather sharp knife. Having already passed through security, taking the knife on the plane would be a cinch, I think. I look over my right shoulder to look at the lonesome muslim cutting his steak with the same exact knife, and I realize (futily trying to be as little suspect of him as I can on accoount of his religion, race, nationality) that if this guy were a terrorist and he had other guys helping him out, shit, TGIF is the perfect place to get some weaponry. You eat their then steal their fucking knives and....This situation needs to be addressed... because there is nothing that impedes terrorists from going on a plane, being that you've already passed security, with a fucking knife (or knives). It makes me wonder. I was standing in line, wating to go under that metal detector thing and this poor old lady who was on a wheelchair was taken out of line to get searched thoroughly in that little room where she had to be lifted up off of her wheelchair, literaly almost breaking her knees. And what makes less sense, is that you go under a metal detector, and right after you have acces to metal. Even on a plane. Get this-they stewardess asked me if I wanted to keep my soda can...when I visited a prison--Yes, visited, I was not imprisoned (I was a boy scout and our scout master scheduled to have our troop visit it) a guard showed us some of the weapons that prisoners had made with newspaper, toilet paper, SODA CANS and they were fucking lethal weapons.

So yes, people government, please read this post and please and don't suspect me, like I suspect security. Don't scrutinize me, like I scrutinize security, just fix the fucking problem before the Sears Tower goes down, or God forbid something else. And quit searching old people like they are hiding something.

That was a crappy post that I would like to touch up, but felt like I had to get this out there quickly.

Homeland security is a governmental phrase that is as oxymoronic, as crazy as saying military intelligence, or the U.S Department of Justice. They're just words that have very little relationship to reality. And do you feel safer now? Do you think you will anytime soon? Do you think duck tape and Kleenex and color codes will make you safer? From Death Row this is Mumia Abu Jamal

believe it or not before you board the plane there is a screening on the walls. so if you did take the knife there would be security rushing through to catch you. just kidding made that up. but there is probably something like that.

My mom gets searched all the time because her artificial hip always sets off the detector. She always tells security that she will set it off and I believe she has something stating that she does have said hip, but they search her anyway.

My friend is a flight attendant. I asked her about the Marshalls on board. She said it's not hard to figure out who they are as they always sit in the same seats.

It's every real Murrican's job to identify and persecute. You sound like not a real Murrican.

In truth, I just added that part to make my boring discovery more interesting. I tend to exaggerate.

Right, like you were probably buttering a roll with a plastic knife, and the "Muslim" was an old lady.

Aside from the racial profiling... I think this is a pretty good point. What's up with those knives?

Dirka dirka, that's how we got the box cutters on the plane. We had our people in the TGIF that gave us the box cutters and free Jack Daniels steaks before the flight.

I wish we adopted the same screening steps they do at El Al in Israel. They actually hand out steak knives on the plane ride for meals. Once you read how they screen passengers you'll see why they don't think twice about doing that. Unfortunately, that'll never happen here.

I flew 1st class on American Airlines before Christmas and we had clear plastic flatware, but had real plates and glasses.
