I've always wanted Caron Butler on the Spurs. Ever since he was in Miami I knew he was good. He deserves to be an All-Star, but likely won't.

Butler is a better player, but Kwame is more important to the Lakers. We're loaded at the SF position.

Kwame = bigger bust than Kandiman.
i'd say it's more of a tie

I have liked Caron since he was with the Heat. The other Butler was cool too. Rasul was the shooter, and Caron did everything else.

I agree with this. While I'm sure the Lakers would like to have Butler now, since Odom is hurt...I think Kwame is more valuable to the Lakers than Butler would be. Butler would be a waste as a spot up jumpshooter and, for the most part, that's what he would be reduced to playing with Kobe & Odom.

Good thing the Lakers didn't draft him.

No, what's bad is that the Wizards got Butler with the #1 pick.

whats bad is no one in that whole draft cept gilbert arenas really deserved number #1..... hindsight is 20/20... arenas was drafted in the second round and no one thought he would be as good as he has become because if they did he would have gone first......

Anyone that saw Arizona play would have known he was gonna be a star. He dominated in Arizona and it was obvious that he was gonna be big time.

Butler is a definite all-star this year. That's if the All-Star game was based upon performance for the year.

Dude, he's an All-Star (chosen by the coaches)!

He's not going for his defense.

He played good defense with Washington last season. Of course, when you, Antonio Daniels, and Brendan Haywood are the only people in the entire organization who remotely care about defense, and Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison are on the floor 40 minutes a night - that doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot.

So you're saying that we should bet the OVER in the Suns/Wizards game tonight? :lol

His defense looks alot better than it is because he plays with alot of no-defense playing teammates. He looks good in comparison. I agree though he has upped his defense since leaving the Lakers, but I wouldn't call his defense good. He's still a big time matador.

Butler is a good player, i'd say borderline all-star. When he was here
in Miami, he had days when he looked like a future superstar, and
others where he looked like he should be playing pickup games
with his grandma.
