Everyday I keep coming back here with the specific hope I will see some news on a brilliant trade that the management of this team has come up with and everyday I am disappointed. Am I being unrealistic? I know moves in the NBA are hard to come by. I know the Spurs make even less moves than most teams, but goram it we all see the gaping holes in this team. We all know exactly why we are going to be looking into the bottom of our empty glasses in a few months wondering what could have been.
This is absurd. This is so stupid to think we can cash in on the backs of Finley, Barry, Beno, and an aging Horry (even if he has a few shots left in him.)
The idea has been floated that Holt and co are looking to cash in, and I am beginning to wonder. Is that what is happening? Is that why clearing the books for 2008 is such a big deal? It certainly isn't to win the title. :pctoss
I never thought I would be on the edge of jumping off the wagon. But Duncan is always able to bring us close enough to contention that all he needs is the right talent surrounding him to take us to the title. And to echo the others in here we are wasting the time he has left.
(sorry for the new topic - just frustrated.)
Go Spurs Go.
