Unless we can find another Herschel Walker and another Minnesota Vikings to rape for draft picks that we convert into one of the best QB and arguably the best RB in NFL history - I don't think it would be quite the same.

You really think Jimmy would come back to Coach for Jerry? Why? So he can get fucked over again? :lol

He was a bust in Miami. Why would he be any better with the Cowboys?

Because he won 2 Super Bowls while coaching the Cowboys, and likely would have one two more had he and JJones not butted heads.
Seriously, I was thinking earlier, they could bring the entire staff back - JJ, Norv, Wannstandt (F7), etc.

Which QB did we get for Herschel Walker?
I messed that up. For some reason I was thinking we took Aikman with the #1 pick when we selected Russell Maryland instead. I do know Emmitt and a shitload of O Line, D Line, LB, and DBs came off of those picks - which we would need for Jimmy to duplicate his success.
Sorry about the misinfo.

jimmy might have problems with TO (who doesnt?), but other than that, we got a young QB on the rise, two dynamic RB's in Jones and Barber, and a decent receiving corps. If only we can develop the secondary and make moves to upgrade the D a little more, we'll be seeing Romo hoisting the Lombardi Trophy within 3 years.

I could've coached the Aikmen, Emmitt, Irving Cowboys to a Superbowl. Anybody could've. Shit, Barry Switzer won a Superbowl with that team and he was a terrible coach. Don't think Jimmy Johnson was anything special.
Cowboys offseason just got a lot tougher. Going from primarily needing a new holder to a new coach, ouch. But I've got a pretty good feeling Cowher will be there in a year after T.O. uses his Jedi mind powers on whoever the new coach is.

And fuck the Niners. Choking since 1995. Go lose to green bay.

Jimmy has been out long enough to get it out of his system and knows he likes broadcasting. He's a big wig (pun intended) at Fox. He was the 'expert' at all of the Fox BCS broadcasts (wasn't that weird to see him and former land thief Switzer sitting together at the Boise State Fiesta?) and he is a member of 'THE' NFL pregame team. Jimmy ain't going anywhere.
