Oscars >>>>> Golden Globes

But my only question is how does a movie that's 75% improvisation get a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination?

Little Miss Sunshine was incredible.
It *looks* liek the kind of movie that will surprise you - but wow! it really surprised me. It really was great.
I think the cinematography and the cast were outstanding.
The whole ensemble cast was outstanding. It;s hard to point out 1 above the others, but Abigail Breslin, greg Kinnear, and Alan Arkin were above and beyond.

We just saw Pan's Labyrinth this past weekend. I thought it was very good, if a tad bit graphic.

We did go to see The Departed, but it was sold out and just never made it back to the movies again.

However, I must say that Helen Mirren looked exactly like QE2

Helen Mirren in The Queen was the best female acting performance I've seen since Ellen Burstyn in Requiem for a Dream.

I don't feel like I've seen enough movies this year to make any real educated choices... I need to see Babel, Dreamgirls, Blood Diamond and Iwo Jima.

Are we picking who SHOULD win or who WILL win?

Because Helen Mirren is a stone-cold lock.

I think Forest Whitaker and Djimoun Hounsou should win. I don't think we are getting enough movies made about Africa.

I still need to see Last King Of Scotland....Blood Diamond was a seriously good movie.
