Kings president of basketball operations Geoff Petrie announced Tuesday that the team has requested waivers on little-used forward Maurice Taylor.
Taylor, a 10-year veteran in his first season with the Kings, played in just 12 games. He averaged 2.0 points and 2.3 rebounds. He signed a one-year contract just before training camp in October for the league-minimum $1.06 million.
It was a troubled stay in Sacramento for Taylor, who previously played for the Knicks, Rockets and Clippers. He came to camp out of shape and failed to pass coach Eric Musselman's conditioning test until after the season started.
On Dec. 6, the league suspended Taylor for five games for violating the league's anti-drug policy.
:reading If he cleans up his act and gets into game shape, I'd definitely sign him up. That wide body of his will definitely help our rebounding. :reading

He was used up and damaged goods by the time he left the Rockets. There is no tiger in that tank. We have to stop desperately reaching for damaged goods that have been rejected by other teams.

Flat out dog - with fleas. Why take on someone else's headache?
Remember folks, if these guys were any good or were without question marks, they wouldn't keep getting released or bought out.

Um, Maurice Taylor might be the worst rebounding bigman in NBA history.
Seriously.
Just say No to Mo (ask any Clipper fan).

Yikes, are the Spurs that desperate??? Methinks not. Eric Williams is a better option than Mo Taylor.

Very true. Combine that with his age, I can see why the Spurs would want him.

You think the spurs roster is slow and old now, think of what could be if MO Taylor signed, it would become even slower, if that is possible

Ironic isn't it? That's exactly what your team always go after...
REJECTS !!
:lol
And that's also the reason why your team isn't involved in blockbuster trades...you don't have any talent other teams would like to trade for
Why on earth is this guy on our board? Did Isiah Thomas resign from the Knicks organization? Until that occurs, don't preach to SPURS fans about how we're piling our team with rejects...Look in the mirror, NIMROD.
