maybe but that was a good shot, it nearly went in, not like he totally missed it, just the bad break...wade should've made that shot to keep it from OT, then they wouldn't even be looking at OT...surprised Shaq didn't play at all in OT, are they on a BTB? Perfect timing, looks like the Spurs/Rockets game just got good.

Shaq better come back a little bit in the second if they wanna win this one. Actually he is playing a little better tonight than his first game back, 15 min, 3-5 FGM-A, 3-5 FTAs, 2 boards and THREE blocked shots...not too shabby.

as someone mentioned the other night in reference to dirk, it's equal to the entire knicks team's FTAs. it's off that shaq only played 15 min, he played more the other night, i think like 24 min. maybe they're just trying to bring him back slowly but i thought that's why he delayed his return, to insure that he'd come back at full strength

MIAMI -- Shaquille O'Neal (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=847) put his police skills to use early Sunday.

O'Neal, the Miami Heat (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=mia)'s All-Star center and a reserve officer with the Miami Beach Police Department, followed a driver who allegedly crashed into his Cadillac Escalade and tried to flee the scene, the team said.

O'Neal and bodyguard Jerome Crawford followed the driver for about five minutes. When the driver, identified by The Miami Herald as 18-year-old Emmnueo Cibrin of Tampa, stopped near a gas station, O'Neal approached the car and summoned a nearby police officer.

Police did not release an incident report Sunday night. Miami-Dade Corrections officials said they had no record of anyone by Cibrin's name being booked on a criminal charge, and it was unclear if he was ticketed for any moving violations.

The incident happened around 4 a.m., shortly after the Heat got home from a Saturday game in Chicago. O'Neal was helping Crawford, a team security official, unload luggage outside Crawford's home in Miami's Coconut Grove neighborhood when the accident occurred.

O'Neal, through the team, said Sunday night that he followed proper police protocol during the chase, including pursuing at a safe distance and speed. He contacted police officers along the way, he said. O'Neal was sworn in as a reserve officer in 2005. He has long said he intends to pursue a career in law enforcement when he retires from basketball.

Shaquille O'Neal was inactive for the Miami Heat 's game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night.

O'Neal, who has played only six games this season because of a knee injury, hurt his calf in practice Monday and is day-to-day. The All-Star center returned to the lineup after an extended stay on the injured list last week.

I love how some Heat fans think that getting Shaq means a automatic trip back to the Finals. Detroit? Chicago even the Wizards stand a good chance to beat them. As far as the All Star votes 'Ahem' Dwight Howard 'Ahem"

I don't think the Heat are going to get to the Finals because of the teams you mentioned. However, without Shaq, they are not going to climb any in the already shitty east. It would've really been a boost to the Heat to have both Shaq back and a good baller in Eddie Jones. The biggest travesties of this year's All-Star has been Nash not starting and Shaq over Dwight Howard as a starter....oh yeah, and Dirk, but that position is heavy.

Even if they managed to make it back there you got to think that teams like Chicago,Wizards and the Pistons will take alot out of them. Will Shaq and Wade run out of gas having to carry the likes of Payton,Williams,Walker and cheap shot Posey? I have not even mention Cleveland,New Jersey and Indiana who are in the mix.
