Anyone know where to buy those nice thick flour tortillas that you can split in half & put your food in the middle and the tortilla won't bust or tear?

I had some pretty close to that @ Las Palapas on Fri.

Try the International Food Market by the airport.

Any Culebra Meat Market has good ones.

I'm talking about the thick ones.
The ones you don't have to be careful pulling apart because they are so fluffy and NOT thin.

There is this little old man who sells them here on the west side... but the cops are always outside his little shop looking for gangbangers and last time I went, there was a drug deal going down so I am not sure i should really suggest it. Too bad, though cus those tortillas are the best ever outside of my Tita Carmen.

IF YOU BRAVE ENOUGH, GO TO CINDERELA'S BAKERY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CASSIANO HOMES. THEY HAVE SOME PRETTY DAMN GOOD BREAD THERE.
P.S.
go between 7:00 am and 11:00. the natives will still be sleeping then.. :lmao

Well have Carmen get off her a$$ and help a 'mano out!!! :lol

Man, my grandma Tilley used to make them and I tear a tort in half and split it open to put my rice and beans. Sometimes that is all we had to eat for lunch and dinner but it was so damn good!

It did look like a beaner pita come to think of it! :lol

If you have some bring'em on over....Even if you're on Dog shift, I'm usually up til 12a or 4a sometimes.

Anyone have any stories on a restaurant that totally hooks you up on the carne? Not because you know someone or smiled and winked at the guy(s) behind the counter but a genuine "pile it on" plate?
Those torts at Las Palapas came as part of a Fajita plate that had MOUNDS of carne! No skimping there.
