Lincoln – The Nebraska Athletic Department has announced plans for a “Red Out” at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Monday, Jan. 29, for the Nebraska-Kansas men’s basketball game.

Fans attending the contest between the Huskers and eighth-ranked Jayhawks are encouraged to wear red to show their support for Nebraska. The game, which will be NU’s first appearance on ESPN’s “Big Monday” telecast since 2000, will be televised nationally starting at 8 p.m.

Nebraska owns a 12-7 record heading into Monday's contest while KU is 18-3 after playing host to Colorado. The Huskers are 9-1 at home this season after suffering a one-point setback against Texas on Wednesday.

NU has won three straight home games against ranked teams dating back to the 2004-05 campaign, including topping No. 20 Creighton earlier this season. Overall, the Huskers are 3-2 in their last five games against ranked opponents.

I would LOVE to see Neb pull it off... but just can't see it. They played a great game against UT and got embarassed at KState. They better hope they DO win... because their upcoming sked is KU, @ Mizzou, @ ttek, atm, KState, @ KU. Brutal.
