Alot of people on this board act like they know about basketball, but can you actually play? We all know Sequ can't even grab net standing on an 8 ft ladder. but what about the rest of you? Lets see it. Whose down?

Awesome. It really was a helluva good time in the past when Kori and LJ put them on. There were two formal all out tourney's they set up that i remember taking part in, and we were always playing pick-up games at trinity or wherever.

It struck me recently no one had shown any interest in doing this again. I thought maybe everyone had just gotten fat and and content to do nothing more than post anymore. While i rarely post, I'm an avid reader and would love to dominate some of the personalities on this board in person.

It would be great if we could get something formal going, but even if its some informal pick-up games, as long as enough people commit, would work for me as well.

Brutalis, if your ever in town i'd welcome some healthy competition. one on ones my game. not sure what it is but im far superior 1 on 1 than team game. 1 on 1 im about as confident as they come as far as recreational players go.

Any way you put it, i need an excuse to play basketball and like i said before, it would be tight to see some faces (and games) behind the handles. One person I'd really like to play is GIG. theres places like lifetime where guests could get in for a small fee or possibly free if you asked for a trial pass. at one time someone had a hook up at trinity university but ovbiously they would still have to have that hook up and want to participate. theres also any number of outdoor courts or community centers that we could possibly play at. I'd be coming down from san marcos so anything along 35,1604 or 281 would be great. But really im down for whatever place will draw the biggest crowd

Timings would be a bit of an issue if it's on Sunday. I have work at 3, but if we can be done by like 3-5 I can work something out. I've been hearing about Spurstalk bball meets and tourney's since I joined, it'll be nice to finally GO to one. (other than the little scrimmage I organized at Ward...I think it was Ward. Some community center gym).

Finding a place is the last concern, in my opinion.

The first is getting enough people and a time. After that there's more than enough places in San Antonio that can accomodate you guys. Lifetime is nice, but it'll be hard to keep it to just ST users. (but Lifetime is the shit if you just want to go and get some good pickup games in against non-ST people)

Hah, same here on the shooting part. If you can't jump for shit you have to find other ways to compensate. So I'm pretty much a spot up shooters who find the cutters and what-not. Not a bad defender, but I'm not about to jump out of the gym either. I used to be able to grab the rim my freshman year in college, it's all downhill from there. Now I'd be lucky to graze with a full running start.
