View Full Version : On The Radio Here At The Job Trailer
The secretary is eclectic, if nothing else...
Presently playing:
"Land Down Under" by Men At Work
Traveling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,
"Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,
"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
Lying in a den in Bombay
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?"
And he said,
"Oh! Do you come from a land down under? (oh yeah yeah)
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."

The '80s rule!AMEN!!! 80's music reminds me of MTV when it didn't suck. Alan Hunter, Nina Blackwood, Triple J(R.I.P), Martha Quinn. Ah yes. Back when I had no bills and not a care in the world.

No kidding. We were living in Ohio at the time and that's when cable was still something that no one had. We weren't able to get cable at our house for some reason...i think the wiring didn't go out to that part of town. Anyway, my sister's friend had it and remember we'd ALWAYS watch MTV.
I remember seeing Video Killed The Radio Star a gazillion times. And I think I remember seeing a Van Halen video for Pretty Woman. I think they were dressed up like Indians or something.
We moved to CA in Dec of 1982 and I remember turning on MTV as soon as I got home from school. Joe Elliot had every girl mesmorized! :lol
Hey Shelly, remember "Night Tracks", or whatever that was that TBS had on at the time?

If you're gay that's fine...but please leave my name out of ANYTHING having to do with you...
If I were gay, I certainly wouldn't go after a 5 ft nothin' 300 lb blob...so don't flatter yourself, troll...
Presently on the radio.
"What I Like About You" by The Romantics
The drummer had cool hair.
If I had hair, I'd want mine to look like his.
Not really.
