It's just one loss. We are clearly head and shoulders better than the Mavs & Suns. We have Duncan, Manu, and Parker...we don't need anybody else. We also got Finley, who is great too. All we need is Tim, Tony, and Manu and we got the championship in the bag. We don't need a center, we can just plug (_______insert name here) and we will win the championship. We don't need Bowen to score any points, his shut-down defense is all we need. We won the championship before, and we'll continue to win championships with Hall of Fame coach Popovich and our 3 stars.

Sadly that has been what I find myself rooting for.

We are one move away from being back into contention. The right piece falls into place and this team will gel. The shots will start to fall again. The game will get just a little bit easier.

That move likely isn't going to happen. The silver lining, which actually ain't too bad, is these losses may mean a somewhat better draft pick this year. Time and again the Spurs have been just short of getting the player they wanted. Maybe this time they will.

I actually don't think the Spurs played that bad. They were getting shots they wanted. Their defense was decently solid until the flood gates opened up at the end.

Duncan played well ... he just couldn't hit the shots he always makes. Add in a better offensively performance by Duncan and some better shooting (Bowen, Oberto, Beno, Horry, Finley and Vaughn combined for 1-for-18), the Spurs easily win the game. Oh and not getting outrebounded by 10 against the worst rebounding team in the league would help.

I can live with loses like this where the Spurs fight much more than I could live with those loses earlier in the season where the Spurs just didn't come to play.

it wasn't a bad loss. just missed alot of 3s the spurs normally make and the cavs making more outside shots they normally don't. and the fact that andy brought the hussle and energy. cavs played like it was post season already while the spurs treated it like another regular season game.

Right. Before that, they lost a lot. They lose, then they change and don't lose.

I guess I don't see playing better and winning more games as a "change".

A change in results, perhaps. But normally when people "call for a change", they're thinking about something more than just hoping and praying that the team starts to win more games.

With all the crap being posted tonight someone finally sums it up perfectly.
They played like they cared tonight. They had energy. It didn't go their way.

Blaming the refs is weak. Demanding trades is weak.

This team will come together, they always do. Everything before the RRT is a learning curve. They come out of that trip a different team. A team that begins the push to SPAM and the Playoffs. And that's when everyone that's written the Spurs off all of a sudden notices them.

The trolls I can tolerate, it's their job to stir the pot. But the supposed Spurs fans who jump with every loss make me crazy. If you're a real Spurs fan you should be quite used to the mid winter Spurs blues. I can't remember a season where it didn't happen. Relax.
