The thread on Beno got me thinking...

Who are the worst STARTERS by position in the NBA today? It's easy to harp on guys at the end of the bench, but who is really bad that starts?

Start in the middle with Rasho.

Who else?

You and I both know there are starting centers playing a lot worse than Rasho. Like maybe OBERTO. :lol

Why do people have to be jerks- I actually thought this topic might make for some interesting conversation.

elson sucks pretty bad

I actually think Oberto is the worst starting center in the NBA. It sucks because when you replace him with Elson, he's probably still the worst.

I'm trying to think of bad starters at other positions.

I thought maybe Seattle had some bad starters, but not really.

I was trying to think of who is starting for Boston or Philly these days?

s. parker at pg?
one letter away from being an all star too bad for him...

Mikki Moore (who is putting up better stats than Elson/Oberto) is a borderline NBA player and starts with the Nets.

He didn't start last night-- coming back from yet another injury.

He has started a lot of games this year but if you wnat a player that he is starting now, Damon Stoudamire for the PG spot.

Oberto is the worst starting center in the NBA

Mikki Moore isn't just getting better stats than Oberto/Elson, he's actually playing better. He seems to have all of Elson's athleticism plus at least some marginal basketball smarts.

he's still a rookie and will develop into a good player but right now as a starter GELABALE from seatle has my vote

otherwise, Elson has to be the worst center so far

I thought about Gelabale but he's averaging 7 points and 4 rebounds as a starter while playing good D. He's not that bad.

Derek Fisher has logged the most starts at SG for the Jazz. For a SG thats Derek is pretty bad starting quality material.

worse starters? the whole Boston Celtics + Oberto/Elson

Worse benches? the Celtic/Knick/Spurs bench. Sad, sad. :depressed

Gelabale has had some clutch plays so far but he only had 2 good games this season... appart from that he sucks as a starter, poor sonics fans...

Al Jefferson is a good starter for the Celtics. Sure he's on a bad team, but he's light years beyond the Oberto/Elson. Ryan Gomes isn't too bad.

I don't think Bruce, as much as I like the guy, would start, or even get much PT, other than on Pop's team. Not enough coaches value (team) defense to put up with total absence of anything but defense in Bruce's game.

Bruce would play on many other teams.. he would be a starter in LA (both teams), with the sonics, the rockets, the celts, the knicks, the timberwolves, the hornets, the cavs, the raptors etc....... he is a precious weapons during playoffs and every coachs in the NBA know it

Two former NBDL players and Spurs throw aways are starting right now and both are doing well for themselves- Devin Brown and Matt Carroll.
