Hi all! Long time lurker here finally making my first post...I hope y'all don't boo me right off here.
But I was just wondering...I live in Indy, so I've had a chance to watch Danny Granger play some...he seems like a very talented player. He's good on offense, defense, etc...and he's young.
Would there be any way the Spurs would consider him as a replacement for Bruce when the time comes? Could they even get him?
I love Bruce, so I'm not a basher...just curious. Any opinions?

Granger would be a perfect fit but no way Indy just lets him go, and I can't imagine what they would take from the Spurs.

Besides, he can't buy a call against the Mavs.

I would like Granger or someone like him on the Spurs team. Doubt the Spurs would be able to get him though.

Awww...thanks for the giant boooo. That's nice. I feel like a Beno supporter now.

I wasn't on here trying to start a "trade" thread...I was just wondering if the Spurs even had a shot at getting Granger...now or in the near future.
I know there are people on here much smarter than I that can come up with possible scenarios if they are to be found. Just thought I'd ask.

It would be nice to get Granger but what would we have to give up

Granger is a very talented player on a cheap contract, which makes him a significant part of Indy's future and basically untouchable. It would take one of the Big 3 to get it done....

Parker for Tinsley + Granger....though I doubt Indiana even does that deal.

The recent big trade between Indy and GS was done in part because Indy thinks highly of Granger. As mentioned above, at present time he is virtualy untradable.

Go to the "Reasonable Trade" thread and you'll see more likely, better options. Those mentioned above are "desperation" or "reach" threads....

Granger is going to be needed to cover PT for the sure-to-be-suspended idiots that are his team mates.

Yeah...the Pacers are an embarrassment for the city of Indianapolis. Thank God for the Colts! :spin

This thread is stupider than my trade Beno and Barry for LeBron thread.

Except that I never put a trade proposal out there...I was simply asking if there was a possiblity the Spurs could land him at some point.
After some of the preposterous ideas I've seen on this board, this is hardly the dumbest. :rolleyes

Indiana knows that too, that's the problem.

And given he hasn't punched or shot at anybody...he's quite the rare commodity on that team.
