Or is working with Marty just too much of a losing proposition for those who truly want a Superbowl?

I think with D and O coordinators, they are trying to position themselves for head coaching jobs. So i would think the Charger job would be a great one.

Marty is a good regular season coach. O should kick ass again next year.

D has the good core players back, hopefully will get some defensive backs with nads or get the current cast to grow some. Sorely needed.

Singletary.

singletary is an assistant coach with the niners under contract..... i thought the only way other teams could sign him is if he gets promoted to a head coaching gig?

havent followed Singletarys coaching career.
How has he done?

I can't imagine the Bears Ron Rivera wanting to switch over, except that after Martys contract runs out next year, (please, only a SuperBowl win should give Marty another Charger contract, even then i would thank my stars and send him off) the Chargers still might have enough of the core intact to make a SBowl run in 2008. Where Rivera could promote to head coach.

Singeltary is a very good defensive coordinator, and Fill is right, the 9ers would have to allow Mike to interview, which Im sure after Dallas, they wont do
