When does the lack of 3rd quarter production belong to the coach rather than the players?

If I am correct, we have not won a 3rd quarter since 1/22 vs. Celts (we've been beaten 8 in a row).

Parker only guarded him on a couple possessions after he was already hot.

Barry and Manu got lit up by Redick in the first half. Then Barry got destroyed in the third quarter by Nelson. After that, no one could have stopped him.

I find it strange, that's all. Isn't halftime when coaches make adjustments?

I think it's actually a good point.

The Spurs are coming out lackadaisical in 3rd quarter and not putting teams away.

But tonight they let the Magic take over the momentum when Redick shot them back in the 2nd quarter. Then it carried over (mostly by Nelson) in the 3rd.

The Spurs have been a bad 3rd quarter team since forever.

I remember in 99 and 03 Pop would have to do the customary 20 second time out 3 minutes into the third all the time.

These are not new things.

Just reseen cause people are spoiled form the team not being at a 63 win pace and being defending champions

It's a very good point. If Barry and Finley were hot together for the 1st time this season and an 18 point lead built, why not adjust after Barry got torched by Jameer a couple times.

The Spurs had a home game against the Rockets riding a five game winning streak. Since then they are 13-11. Give me an "I remember when" where the Spurs were that bad for that long or you'll need to give the "spoiled fans" thing a rest. Although you are right in one way: I guess all the people that bitched about running 4 down all the time are feeling pretty spoiled right about now.
