First, good game tonight... you guys have no idea how much we needed that one.

Second, are you guys kidding me? You guys are one of the best few teams in the NBA, winners of multiple Championships in the 21st century, 16 GAMES OVER .500, and you're bitching about your Coach?

Walk a mile in our shoes... we have been to the finals once since 1989, and we lost to Houston in FOUR. We haven't been to the playoffs since 2003. We let the most dominant player in the history of basketball slip though our fingers and win a ton of championships in LA. We got nothing in return for TMac. Grant Hill can't stay healthy. We are having a problem getting a new Arena. We play at Amway Arena. We are basically ignored at the national level...

Count your blessings Spurs fans...

i'm not a spurs fan but you orlando magic fans have been through some ridiculously rough spots in the post-shaq days. i remember that ridiculous losing streak, all the problems with the F.O. making stupid mistakes, grant hill, etc. it's good to see the magic playing well and i REALLY like dwight howard, he seems like he has a great attitude to go along with his great game

Spurs fans bitch a lot. This board looks liek that after each loss.
Anyway, great game and good luck for the rest of the season. Magic is one of my favorite team outside Spurs and they have a nice young core.

Welcome to SpursTalk! Nice to have a Magic fan around here. I'm also a Magic fan who used to live in Orlando but I've lived here in Austin (near San Antonio) for almost 9 years now and I've adopted the Spurs as my own. Watching these head to heads is always weird for me because I want them both to win, but if I have to choose I root for the Spurs (I've come to love this team).

I started following the Magic in the 89-90 inaugural season (same season I began following the Spurs because of Robinson) when I was in the 8th grade and have been through all the ups and downs over the years. Scott Skiles and Reggie Theus, The Shaq and Penny days, the heartbreaking Finals loss, getting destroyed by the Bulls the next year and then the crushing shock of losing Shaq to the Lakers. After that it was all downhill, even after the promising summer of 2000, which ironically almost landed my favorite player on the Spurs, Tim Duncan.

This was followed up with the ever injured Grant Hill and then going 1-19 to start the 03-04 season and then losing T-Mac for fucking Steve Francis. Dwight Howard is exactly what this team needed and I love the squad they've put together. That being said, the Magic are in the weak ass East and will almost definately make a playoff run once the injured guys come back. The Spurs have been struggling this season and need every win they can get in order to finish 2 or 3. It would have been great seeing the Magic get a huge comeback win against a great team. I just wish it could have been a different great team. :)

Again, welcome!

Nice posting from that Orlando fellow. Nothing hateful, sarcastic or mean-spirited. Need more dialogue like that.

He makes a good point, Spurs fans act more like Spuds fans. They go off the edge after each loss when it isn't necessary. If only Spurs fans would look more accurately at the core of the problem and take off those rose colored glasses. When you refuse to take knife and fork to the sacred cows, and continually pick on the whipping post scape goats, then you never get a handle on the problem, and as any wise old sage knows, you can't fix a problem until you first understand what the problem is. I don't think spurs fans have a clue what their teams real problems are.

Anyhoo, the Magic Man makes a good impression for his team the way he comes in here. No brickbats. Good point. Come on back again bubba.

Spurs fan reminds me more and more of rocket fans after they won their titles....yes i was upset the spurs lost, but after about 5 seconds my wife and i both said, that was a GREAT dunk. we lost on free throws, should never have gone to that play, but since it did, it was a great play. howard is definitely a manchild in its true sense

The Bobcats are like 3-4 years old. Orlando has been around FOREVER, seemingly, and HAS had success. Not the same thing at all.

With all due respect I could CARE LESS of how many times Orlando went to the Finals and played in the Playoffs. I am looking at my Spurs. Boston Celtics had the BEST run in Basketball History in the 50s and 60s because they didn't think of how many titles they've won, and this and that, and saving $$$, they were improving their ROSTER year by year and created legacy for themselves by NOT living on old success...You don't compare yourself to the winless teams, but to the winning teams TODAY (as we are doing right now)... :ihit :ihit :ihit :ihit

:lmao There were like 8 teams back then, and you could count the ones West of the Mississippi on one hand. Travel was less, and a whole different set of player acquisition and retention rules applied. Boston didn't have to "save money", because there was NO FUCKING FREE AGENCY!!! Their players COULDN'T leave.

Whatever you say BOSS...still, you CANNOT live on OLD SUCCESS and GLORY...PERIOD...If this is the case, trade Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili to SAVE $$$, and CLOSE the shop down - you already WON 3 TITLES...

Expecting to be the 60s Celtics is not realistic. In case you didn't notice during the 90s, a gentleman named Jordan was only able to replicate about half their success, and he was probably the best player of all time.

It's easy to spend someone else's money, MTB. I'll bet you didn't even know that the Spurs (and the other 3 former ABA teams) don't receive a full share of the television contract, only 4/5ths. Yet, they're still in the top 10 salaries and put a very competitive team out there every year, championship contenders most years.

"You ain't seen nothing yet." The Spurs lose minimally 20 games every year, usually 23 to 25. and the world almost comes to an en end there in S.A. with every loss. Everyone there has a better plan for how the Spurs can go undefeated.

I went to bed last night thinking that Howard is going to make a name for himself in this league. I also thought I saw a great game. And I was not upset at all with our Spurs, although I wish we could have hit those free throws there at the end. I thought Michael and Brent stepped up big time last night.

Hey, stuff happens.

??? I am sorry, they are SPENDING MY MONEY given for tickets, SA merchandise, etc. ??? Ask Cuban what is going to take to win it ALL? He is improving and spending more $$$ every year. I contribute MY FAIR SHARE. I don't want much - the Spurs have the CORE already - they simply need GOOD ROLE PLAYERS - YOUNG AND ATHLETIC, not so difficult and expensive to find, if you start looking instead of signing OLD DONKEYS for a pocket change...

:lmao Why on earth should I do that? Has he won shit with all of his spending? With all of his spending, The Mavs have had only ONE team that was a serious title contender, ONE, last year. SA is a contender just about every year.

Terrible take, playing the "Cuban spends" card. So does Dolan in NY. :lol Grow up.

Unless you have the most expensive season tickets and buy up everything in the fanshop every game, you can barely cover what it costs to pay Tim Duncan for one quarter of the games that it is apparently such agony for you to watch.

Get a prescription, you clearly need it.
