After bragging about how he was going to drop 50 on the Blazers, he instead posted this beauty.

Wiz lost 73-94 to mighty Portland.

I wouldn't take this clown on my team if he paid me. Where are all of you who wanted him over Iverson for the WC team?

awesome, his head has gotten ten times bigger this year but i still think his game is inconsistent as hell...flashes of offensive greatness sprinkled throughout *ok* games

Obviously, it was the coach's fault.

"We have a new philosphy now and that is focusing on defense," said Arenas, who spent most of the game guarding Jack, who shot 5-for-8 from the field with five assists. "Right now we are still adjusting to that. At the end of the day, they scored a lot of easy baskets on us."

"When you tell a team: 'Hey, we don't have Antawn anymore. We can't outscore people. You've proven that we can't outscore people anymore. We have to go out there and stop people,' for a scoring team, it kind of takes that air out of you," Arenas said of what the Wizards have been hearing lately from coach Eddie Jordan. "We're who we are. We're a high-scoring team. We're a running team. That's what we do. We're a high-scoring caliber team."
"That's just plain stupid," Jordan said of Arenas' comments about playing defense. "The whole idea of us having to have to play defense better, is that a problem or is that a question? That's ludicrous.http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap?gid=2007021127

I like Arenas. I know he has games like this from time to time. He is refreshing player at least he is not the prepackaged leaque created superstar like Wade. He will get better with experience and when the Wiz put a better team around him.

What does one game prove? Arenas is still a fantastic player.

Why didn't he put up that stinker against the Suns in December instead of banking in shots from everywhere? I was actually looking forward to this game until it bored the shit out of me.

What does one game prove? Arenas is still a fantastic player. It proves that Arenas is a my-stats-first player who is continually looking to blame others (coaches) for his failures instead of looking in the mirror first.

His stats are helping his team win games. He is obviously there best player, and they are still an excellent offensive team because of him. Just because he has spotty shot selection at times, doesn't mean he isn't an extremely effective player.

I have never liked Arenas, he's a selfish, greedy shitbag and it's obvious that the USA team didn't need another player that was going to take a lot of shots. As proven, the international tournaments are a matter of the best team and chemistry, not individual efforts, because otherwise D-Wade and LeBron would be enough to beat any team.

Gilbert just plays for his stats, and half the time, his stats blow. It's just that he makes up for it on a few rediculous games every 5 games or so, but I don't know if that's what's best for any team...a guy shooting 20 threes, 48 total field goals per game. Of course, some games he will score 50 if he's shooting that much, but a lot of times it will bite you in the ass and that inconsistency will never win them a tough series in the playoffs, even though they are the top team in the East as we speak.

It's the Gilbert Arenas storyboard series:

BRRRRRAAAAAAAP! "Damn, this gas is killing me. 50 tacos to score 50 points seemed like such a good idea at the time."

"Ah hell, I just sharted and we're in our whites today."
"Damn, what did this guy in front of me eat?"
