If the "nobody else digs" part is criteria, this shouldn't be mentioned since they are getting some notariety lately. I dig em tho.

Yeah, I figured that, which is why I added Mum. But I liked TV on the Radio before they were cool.

Of course, some MLB fans already know who RK is...

Southern Culture on the SkidsI saw them when they were a nobody band back in the early 90's in Gulfport, Mississippi at a crap-hole bar on the coast. I was hooked once that hot singing girl screamed as fried chicken went flying into the audience.

Rocco Deluca and the Burden are really good. They're gonna play in SXSW. The documentary is really good too.

I love their sound. Very different than what's out today without being so innovative that it's abrasive. They have their songs uploaded to iTunes, so I'm going to get their album that way. The documentary was very good, though I was disappointed to see that Keifer got the ax at the end of the flim. He was genuinely exstatic about them.

jackiel1219
02-14-2007, 05:07 PM
It was kind of funny that Keifer got fired as the manager mostly because the way they show it in the documentary. I guess he had to go shot 24 or something

I don't know how well known they were in the 70's/80's, but I recently downloaded a couple albums by Richard & Linda Thompson that I really like. I had never heard of them before.
