It's like any band: you either get it, or you don't.

Funny part is that Sting was the weakest link. Worked Stuart so hard he forgot how to hit the high notes.

What did they sing? I had Message in a Bottle in my head all day for some reason. I'm sure it will make it's way to youtube soon.

They sang Roxanne. I thought it was a strong performance. Sting looked really hot last night. He is one performer who can pull off aging with pizazz.

I thought they sounded really good and knew they would play Roxanne. I was hoping they'd play more than one song, though. Maybe they could have if Mary J. Blige didn't thank everyone on earth.

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Reunited rock trio the Police said Monday they would launch a world tour in May, more than 20 years after frontman Sting angered his bandmates by leaving for a solo career.

The group whetted fans' appetite for the expected trek on Sunday night, when they performed their breakthrough hit "Roxanne" at the opening of the Grammy Awards ceremony.

Sting, 55, guitarist Andy Summers, 64, and drummer Stewart Copeland, 54, will kick off the tour May 28 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Dates have so far been set for North America only; the band will play Europe in the autumn, and shows in Mexico, South America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are also anticipated.

Ticket prices will range from $50 to $225, a spokesperson announced at a press conference at Los Angeles' Whiskey A Go Go nightclub. The group also played a few songs for the assembled, including "Message in a Bottle," "When the World Is Running Down, You Make the Best of What's Still Around," "Can't Stand Losing You" and "Roxanne."

The Police ended their seven-year run following their 1984 world tour for the album "Synchronicity," which included the Grammy-winning song of the year "Every Breath You Take."

Sting, the group's primary songwriter, who once described the Police as "a marriage of convenience," wanted more creative freedom. Summers and Copeland felt that the band should carry on, even though intra-band tension often led to fights. At the press conference, Copeland pointed out that the fights were about the music; the band members still got along.

The Police played a handful of U.S. dates on the Amnesty International Conspiracy of Hope tour in 1986, and also played at Sting's wedding in 1992, and at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2003.

This year is shaping up as the year of rock reunions. Phil Collins has returned to British art-rock combo Genesis for a monthlong summer tour of Europe, while mercurial singer David Lee Roth is back with rock band Van Halen after a two-decade estrangement.

Additionally, the Australian-New Zealand band Crowded House plans to end a 10-year hiatus once a replacement is found for late drummer Paul Hester.

Looks like KEDA is fixing to be real popular...

The North American leg of the tour is being sponsored by Best Buy, and ticket prices are set at $225, $90 and $50. In the U.S., members of Best Buy's Reward Zone program who have a membership that was activated before February 1 will have the opportunity to buy tickets prior to the general public.

How'd Stewart look? He was always my favorite.:hungry:

I saw them back in 1983 and I believe The Thompson Twins opened for them.

Stewart looked the same, only with glasses and gray hair. The all looked good. I didnt' realize that Andy was in his sixties already.
