Any history the Aggie hoops program had prior to now was thanks to Shelby Metcalf. His run in the 1987 SWC tourney was the stuff of legend. I hope that they would name the court or building or something after him.

*edit* I just saw Jim's thread about this after I posted. Coach Metcalf was one of the greats.

I didn't think so....I didn't see a title that mentioned it...then I looked a little closer to Jim's thread.

I figured one of the "older" Ags would have. :lol

Actually Mikey, I had 2 threads on this...one that has this very title and the 2nd one that talks about his comic timing.

Metcalf, Abe Lemons, Guy Lewis, Jim Haller....the old SWC had some colorful coaches back in the day.


They all had one thing in common....they all despised Eddie Sutton.
