are the people claiming this guy should be MVP a lil' retarded?
forget his idiotic self centered behavior....
i just noticed today he shoots 42% from the field :lol

yeah sure
i just found it funny that someone with such a low shooting percentage would be considered as a MVP candidate

lol shooting at a low percentage doesn't mean much, he still manages to score and hit game winning shots

uhm yes it does :king
let Beno Udrih take game wining shots and he will hit one sooner or LATER :toast

lol arenas is clutch, beno is brick...besides shaq shoots like 50 percent career and i doubt i'll ever see him make a game winning shot, not a hook but a shot

lets not go too far away now ;) Beno comparison was meant to be ironic
i just picked on your statement low fg% are not important when considering someone for MVP or all star
many players in this league could score over 30 points but that would mean crappy fg% and their teams loosing constantly

Arenas is a chucker, but he's also pretty clutch.
What a messed up combo.

lol (I figured it was a password since you morons keep starting every post with that)
Since when kamnik, is 27 ppg the same as 29 ppg?? My math might be fuzzy but over the 50 games so far that equals ONE HUNDRED POINTS DIFFERENCE! Yeah, THE SAME.

Allen is in the all-star game, he's a replacement.

Scoring a ton of points but shooting a poor FG% means that you're pretty much killing your team. It means on the night when he's not shooting the ball well he continues to shoot. Stackhouse is like that for the Mavs, but luckily, he doesn't play heavy minutes.
Arenas is offensive team cancer, but he certainly loves himself.

so you are one of the people that only see points scored :lol
then i could say since when is 42% the same as 45% FG shooting :blah
in 50 games that must mean a few points/possesions diference huh ;)
this is why i said Allen's stats are virtually the same; Arenas shoots more but he has a lower %
guess what... main 2 MVP candidates Nash and Dirk both score much less than Arenas-that makes them worse players, right? :wakeup

btw..... at this point i would rather have caron butler on my team than this black hole
he wouldnt create bad karma for starters and he is a hell of a player (also makes less money than Arenas)
imo in time Gil will drive some players away from wizards and players will only want join them for major $ (more than they are worth)

Caron Butler over Arenas?! He's an average third option and just had a bit of a breakout year this year, he'll never get all-star honors again.

what do you think Arenas will do to a team long term?
practicly any team out there.....
1. me
2. me
3. me me me
true opposite of what we see on the wizards right now are the raptors imo
they are just hungry for wins

also keep in mind that Arenas plays in the East. there is definitely less talent in the East as opposed to the West. if Allen was in the East, he would easily be in the All-Star game, possibly a starter. Also, Arenas gets more votes from fans because hes a bigger offensive juggernaut than Allen, and we get to see 50 and 60 point games from him. we dont see those kinds of things from Ray Allen too often.

No, now TRUST ME...I am the furthest fuckin thing from an Arenas fan. He's the worst team player since a young A.I. Keep him away from any team I cheer for.

You do realize the Wizards even in the shitty east without Arenas would not even be in the discussion of playoff teams in that conference.

Who else do they have to win games? DeShawn Stevenson? :lol I know the great center combo of Haywood and Thomas.

1 year of "succes" for a shitty future?
i wouldnt trade that :dizzy
yeah they might win some games (especially when Jamison is back) but they are f***** longterm with Arenas starring
that young Iverson comparison is also something that crossed my mind
(even though Iverson acually went to the finals one time)

Ray Allen shooting 45.1%
42 games
20.7 shots per game
393-871 fgm/a
Gilber Arenas shooting 41.8%
50 games
21.8 shots per game
457-1,092 fgm/a
Since Ray Allen has played in 8 less games up to this point of the season, I will add 8 games onto his total, while assuming he shoots 45.1% for those 8 games.
Ray Allen adjusted with extra 8 games:
466-1035 fgm/a
He will have taken nearly 60 less shots, but make 9 more than Arenas in that span.
Arenas has taken 61 more threes than Allen, while making 20 more than Allen.
Allen for one doesn't have the team that Arenas has, but he also does not have Rashard Lewis because of injury, so points would be down a bit. But for now, Allen is more efficient in his scoring.
***In no way shape or form do I think this evidence is accurate. :) ***

He's got Stephen Jackson syndrome: you need to try to limit the damage he does in quarters 1-3 because that essentially zeros out his clutchness. How clutch would he need to be if he selected better shots and got his teammates involved? The Wiz would be a MUCH better team.
