He has com on strong recently. It might be because of the Ely trade, but he's come on strong and that's all that matters. Now since we are at the half-way point of the season, do you like the pick up?

I wonder who will get more time, Ely or Oberto. That is if Elson remains as the starter.

Anyone wanna figure out the Spurs record in games where Elson played significant minutes? Say 25+?

After some exhaustive research (http://www.nba.com/playerfile/francisco_elson/game_by_game_stats.html) I have determined that the Spurs are 13-0 for games in which Elson plays at least 24 minutes.
Elson for MVP.

Most excellent! I guess that page makes it pretty easy, huh?
How about the Spurs' record in games where Elson plays 20+ minutes?

this board is infamous for haters.
remember: 3/4 of the board were very against just the idea alone of elson starting over oberto. elson is already better than oberto just in half a season. at the rate of elson's progress and oberto's lack of progress, i wouldn't be surprised to see bonner taking minutes away from oberto.
as sad as it sounds, i can't help but to think race plays a big part in it because popovich obviously sees much more progress in elson just in half of his 1st season than what he's seen in oberto's 1.5 years here in san antonio. you really can't change people. they are going to be discriminatory for whatever reason and they still will make an excuse for their opinions.
even after elson got 18 boards, people are still like, "still not sure if this guy is any good".
not sure why elson would be the problem when people fail to realize that bowen still can't score, finley's sucked as a spur from the beginning, beno has been a let-down, and horry is too old and unproductive. but yet people are still questioning elson's abilities??? um, sure.

Are you saying that board members are racist because they wanted Oberto over Elson, or that Pop was racist because he sees Elson progressing quicker than Oberto?

He's playing through a nagging injury, once that clears up he should continue to play at this level.
