Supposedly, one of his teammates sent him to his barber/stylist and he didn't like how they cut it so he just had most of it cut off.

Heard he had JET's stylist (JET has a stylist?!) cut it and he ended up with some hideous bangs and said "screw it, just cut it all off". It'll look ok come playoff time.

Dirk and Duncan on the frontline together... the East is in serious trouble...

"East is in serious trouble"

From the voting to the games, the whole all-star thing is an un-serious circus, a trivial beauty contest.

Only the players and coaches, maybe even HoFers, should elect the all-stars. And there should be a serious $$$ differential for the winning team.

Then the "being an All-star" would be meaningful, and we'd see some real basketball, instead of silly show biz.

Do you want them to make it like MLB where the winning team's conference gets Homecourt in the Finals?

The All-Star game is just fun....it doesn't need to mean anything.

he's shaved it off maybe 3-4 times since being a maverick, usually during the summer or right before the playoffs

this is great news, i'm happy for him, it just sucks that nash isn't there to feed the ball to his ex-mate

Considering it was based on fan votes, and you could vote a billion times online, the "should've" falls at your feet. If he was robbed, it was by Mavs fans not voting enough.

Only problem with a monetary prize would be that I would be pissed if one of our guys got injured because they were trying.

D'Antoni made the right call. I still think that if Nash was healthy, the numbers game suggested to me that, from a basketball standpoing, Nash should start. But of the guys who weren't elected to start the game, I think Dirk is an extremely deserving choice for the promotion. Whoever said he should have been a starter in the first place is right.

Damn us Mavs fans for not sitting around voting all day!!!

It shouldn't be based on fan vote...Battier ending up where he did in the voting is evidence enough that the system should be changed. The Rockettes have the entire country of China voting for them. TMac starting over Nash?? :lol

Why should the system by changed? It's a meaningless game that is all about the fans and the popularity of players with those fans. There is no coulda-woulda-shoulda with the ASG because this is what the fans wanted, and we all know that the average fan is a horrible judge of talent.
