If Phil Baroni beats Frank Shamrock at during April’s EliteXC/Strikeforce show, White will invite Baroni back into the UFC. White clearly hates Shamrock and was especially critical of his loss (via disqualification) to Renzo Gracie at EliteXC’s inaugural show. He said he’d make Baroni his “step-son” if he beats Shamrock.

White and the UFC continue to negotiate with heavyweight contender Brandon Vera, though White admits that Vera has clearly “lost his mind.” (Vera has one fight remaining on his current contract.)

White said that current UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell is willing to move up to heavyweight to fight Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, who apparently isn’t interested in dropping to 205.

He also said that the winner of UFC 68’s main event of UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia vs. Randy Couture will face Filipovic, assuming Filipovic gets by Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 70. He said he was disappointed that the Croatian fighter was so inaccessible to UFC fans and will figure something out.

White said that Liddell and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will probably each fight one more time before their much-anticipated rematch. This seems to contradict MMAWeekly.com’s report that Liddell and Jackson will meet on a UFC 71 card in May. White said Keith Jardine isn’t the right guy, though, and that he’s “working on it.” (This might mean that someone outside the UFC is brought into the organization.)

White said he is also working on a match with Liddell and PRIDE Fighting Championship’s (and UFC veteran) Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva. The two fighters were expected to meet in the past but the deal fell through, and White has continually blamed PRIDE for the cancellation.

White said he’s already begun talks with Matt Lindland to get him back in the UFC. He said “no bridges have been burned” with that relationship.
He wouldn’t confirm a Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin rematch at UFC 70. In fact, he mentioned that Keith Jardine and Rashad Evans would both be good fights for Ortiz.

The much-hyped “sparring match” between White and Ortiz has now been pushed back to April 24. It will likely be available to watch online.
White said that he spoke with “professional wrestler” Kurt Angle about fighting in the UFC but that he ran back to the TNA wrestling organization. White said that Angle will need to pick one — wrestler or fighter — because White’s not going to “blur” those lines.

He said we “might” see Jason “Mayhem” Miller in the UFC. Miller is currently signed to the UFC-controlled WEC organization.

White said to expect a UFC show in Ireland sometime in the future.

He said he’s still interested in purchasing PRIDE and running it as a separate entity in Asia.

-----------------

I still say he's full of $hit about letting Chuck fight Crocop...it would sell a TON of PPV's, but in the long run it would cost him having his biggest name lose...

Baroni and Lindland would be nice additions back in the UFC.

I hope he's not BS'ing about giving Rampage 1 more fight before Chuck...

Dana needs to stop cussing for the sake of cussing. Being the most recognized spokesperson of MMA, he needs to conduct himself in a more professional manner.
