I wouldn't mind ridnour on the team, but I wouldn't know what the spurs would have to give up for him; maybe beno and oberto/elson?

Not a bad idea.

He deserves to be a starter and will take that job elsewhere to where he can start (more than half of the NBA).

Isn't Ridnour one of the worst PG's defensively in the NBA (pts. given up by SEA per 100 possessions when Ridnour is on the court: 117.6 <> pts. given up by SEA per 100 possessions when Ridnour is off the court: 111.5) and doesn't he get posted up by just about every other PG in the league because he's so small and frail (6'1", 167 lbs.)? Doesn't Ridnour also have the 2nd-worst assist-turnover ratio among starting PG's?

If he's so good, why would SEA be willing to move him when their only alternative at PG is Earl Watson, a guy who's not even shooting 36% from the field this year and is a career backup (58 starts in 425 games) who hasn't been able to win a starting job despite having been in the league for 6 years?

No one has said he's great or anything. He is just an upgrade over Beno.

And he also has 3 more years on his contract after this one at 6.5M per. In a salary capped league it makes little sense to have the backup of one of your cornerstone players making so much money (especially when you have more significant needs elsewhere).

Luke for Beno? hell yeah. Of course, tonight Beno couldn't even score a point vs. Denver suck ass bench!!!

Luke got handles, so Seattle would never ever do it not even for Beno + Barry

That is precisely why the Sonics want to trade him.

even the sonix know they overpaid for that fool. he will be out of the nba soon. Beno has hope and has played well in the past and knows Spurs system.

UPDATE: Ridnour was back starting again, played 30 minutes and had 15pts 12asts.

IMO, the demotion was temporary to show that Ridnour had to perform on a nightly basis to keep his job. The fact is that Seattle has two very capable PG...a problem I WISH the Spurs had.

Ridnour wasn't made available, the Hawks offered crap for him because they saw he was disgruntled with the demotion. Ridnour is in Seattle for the long term....sorry Macdude.

On your trade proposal, it would take at least Barry + Beno...

Plus they might want yet another unproven FC...Butler??? j/k :lol
